Review summary

I had a great time. This was my 6th different cruise line so I have some cruise experience.Some things were better on other lines but this one is great value. Our waiter Akash was great. I had lost my wallet and he came to find me in the lobby to return it untouched. I had about $500 cash plus cards in it. I found some wear and tear on a 5 year old boat that I didn’t expect but that kinda stuff didn’t ruin my vacation. The kids club was very good. I found the food authentic Italian being Italian Canadian. It was very good, most cruises have better than average food and so did this one. One time the risotto was warm and not hot. Not the end of the world! I think people complain way too much. I find North Americans harder to please and expect a little more. Every culture has nice people and rude people. I had Aurea experience and to embark was easy. I walked off myself at 8:00 am and it was the easiest out of every cruise I have been on. My time dining was worth the aurea experience alone. Some staff wasn’t overly friendly but they weren’t rude. Our room steward Ozy was very good and had a few long conversations with him.I think overall it’s a great value and I would definitely recommend them!

You got on the Divina the day I got off (sad). I loved it too! I had read reviews about passengers being rude and unfortunately had to bear witness to it too. Sometimes makes me embarassed to see my countrymen behave like this. I don't understand why they think they are more entitled than anyone else. Shameful. We are ALL there to have a good time. On my sailing I sat at a table adjacent to a man who requested cream cheese for his bagel then very loudly threw a fit and started yelling at the waiter insisting that he wanted Philadelphia Cream cheese. Like, really?

Great review...I agree most North Americans have such entitled impossible self-righteous all about me standards....with an instant self gratification attitude.

Great review. I think MSC is keeping their prices low to entice some more North Americans and hopefully win some fans. Sounds like their product is fairly compatible.
