MSC Divina February 7 - 18, 2020 by SRAlbritton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina

Went on this cruise with no expectations other than to relax and have some good food. The ship and staff are both 5 star (although disorganized at times), but it would be a push to give the food 2 stars. On an Italian ship you would expect the pasta to be first class. All of the pasta dishes were overcooked to the point they were tough and stuck together. Most of the food in the buffet is cold even on the warming trays (a couple of burgers were still frozen in the middle.) The pizza in the buffet however is fantastic! We tried three different soups all of them were like water (inclding what they called chowder. If you want to relax in a chair and read you better get a balcony room as all of the chairs have stuff on them by 7am. The entertainment was all musical tributes until the last night and then it was gymnastics. The problen with the musical tributes is they only had one person that could really sing. Very little to do on the ship. The daily planners only have minor changes each day (Trivia subject.) My 28 year old daughter said she was so bored she won't go back on MSC.

For a 12 day cruise we were very much looking forward, sadly, more negatives than positives. by billebouy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Divina is a beautiful ship, and the staff is nice and hard working. That's about it. Folks in the group we cruised with had been on the Divena 2 years ago, and agreed the experience now is much deteriorated. One couple in our group has been on around100 cruises, they said they'd never cruise MSC again. One cabin had a water leak in the ceiling, flooded out the bathroom, she lost all her makeup, and was put in an interior cabin with no card to get back in if she left the cabin. The credit they gave her didn't even cover the makeup she lost. MSC seems to be turning into a budget line, and it's showing. Before anybody comments "book yacht clup", if I could afford that, I wouldn't be on MSC!

Overall a great cruise, great service in the Yacht Club, a few minor critiques, but the goods, far outweighed the bads.

Better than expected by new3318

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

We normally travel on the major competitors so we where worried about all the stories that we have heard. I think that MSC Devina went all out to prove the stories wrong. Pleasant surprise. We now have a cruise planned on The MSC Seaside and are bringing our family with no hesitations.

Better than expected! by shutterandtype

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean

Overall, it was great for the price. We didn't go expecting much but it surprised us in some ways. Much less crowded onboard than embarkation led us to believe. The food was much better than most budget lines. Service, specifically in the room by the steward, was very lacking. But overall I would do again for the right price and a short cruise. I think if we were Yacht Club things would have been very different.

Fabulous cruise, we loved it by Bambam06

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Beautiful ship, beautiful ports we called at, but really MSC, sort out the sunbed saving situation..... many many people were left with nowhere to sit, while sunbeds are saved “just in case” someone decides to go on deck! its not fair....

Disappointing Caribbean Cruise by Geojac

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very disappointing. Lovely ship spoiled by poor food and entertainment. Costa Rica, Costa Maya, Jamaica and Panama are not worth visiting. Roatan is great. The MSC Island in the Bahamas is very poor. Overall MSc are very disappointing and would recommend you try P & O, Royal Caribbean or Celebrity instead

The Divina is the perfect sized ship! by LACostello2013

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Divina is my favorite “class” of ship. Small enough to be personal. I wish they had a more central shopping area and lounges like RC does on so many ships but you do figure it out. We had no trouble with pool chairs, our room was nice and we loved Ocean Cay!! I would cruise on Divina again for sure.
