Review summary

The tremendous selection in the buffet should please most people.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Very long lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MSC certainly knows how to bake bread and pizza. Some of the best I've ever had.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Missed some of the organized activities I've had on other lines, but fine overall.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
While the shows in the theater were a bit lacking, the musicians performing at lounges and venues around the ship were quite good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Friendly and efficient staff overall. Our cabin's steward was great!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This was one of the last cruises before the scheduled refurbishment. While the ship was a little tattered and dated in places, it was clean and comfortable overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The balcony, bathroom, and television were quite small. The bed was very comfortable.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
The Rubell Museum and the Perez Art Museum are must-sees.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Wish we had more time here.

Roadtown

2 out of 5
Not much to see or do here if you don't take an excursion.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Rented a car and drove all around the island.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Know Nassau well and always visit the Cricket Club for lunch--great food, friendly service, and veranda dining.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Long, slow process that could be better organized.
