Review summary

We knew going into this that Genoa and Marseille are Detroit equivalents but excited for the other ports of call. We were unsure of the MSC cruise line so we tempered our expectation, although we were incredibly satisfied and impressed with their boarding procedures and efficiency. They put Norwegian (our only cruise comparison) to shame. All in all a great trip even with the 2 disappointing ports.

I’ve always wanted to cruise around those areas but scared of the language barrier because I only understand English. How was it?

Didn’t you go to Vieux Port in Marseille? Absolutely stunning. Notre-Dame de la Garde was amazing as well. We really liked Marseille.
