Note, that a LOT of oceanview cabins are obstructed. Be sure to locate your cabin preferences on a deck plan BEFORE you book. You will be travelling with a lot more Europeans and Asians than on any other cruise line. Respect them and don't act like an ugly American.

The starlight disco has beautiful views and is used very little throughout the cruise. It’s a great place to read a book or play card games.

Check the review on the showers. Painful to take a shower. Hope you are not big on entertainment. But prices affordable. Review the ship after the 21 days make over to see if anything improved. But as for the services, you are in good hands.

Check your itinerary daily. Take advantage of some of the many offerings. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t be afraid to ask for something. They are very accommodating.

The ship is older and smaller than a lot of the newer ships out now. Sometimes I find the staff to be more friendly and less stressed on the smaller ships.

Never sail on this ship. I am honest in my review and I am struggling to find positives on this ship other than I met a few people who shared my concerns. I believe that MSC hierarchy should have someone travel unbeknown and experiences the experience we as hard working paying customers received.

Nice itinerary, but horrible food. This ship is due for a redo in April and they are letting everything go downhill. Dining room steward, Justin, was EXCELLENT, but food was never served hot, and tasted really bad. Justin’s assistant needed more people skills and training. Breakfast in the dinning room was a joke — allow an extra 45 min if you eat there. Waitstaff isn’t working for tips there,so they serve plates at your table at different times. Poorly organized. The buffet was no better. Sub par food and very poorly organized. Sanitation stations worked about half the time (bring your own hand sanitizers!). Shows were great, and dancers were AMAZING. But chairs in the theater were often broken. All windows, especially cabin windows, needed serious cleaning. Ocean Cay was a SUPER EXPERIENCE, except for the food court which had thousands of flies around the food. We rented a cabana which was well worth the $$. Missed Jamaica due to wind, but that gave us some extra time at the pool which was nice. Almost missed Costa Maya due to wind had it not been for our wonderful Captain who was able to maneuver our ship dockside. State rooms were kind of small, but clean and neat. Elevators were fast and efficient.

If you like meeting and talking to people have a sit in the pool deck smoking section. I don’t smoke but I found smokers to be very friendly and had several fantastic conversations and made some friends just sitting in that section.

Keep your expectation low on the food in the dining rooms. Definitely visit the Pizza Bar because that definitely did not disappoint the 26 Napolitanos I traveled with!
