Review summary

It’s not the same post covid. Food and services have been cut and a cruise is not the special experience it was once. Food was a big disappointment.

Embarkation

It was fine.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining room food has become common. Mexican night has cheap food menu choices. Lobster night 6” lobster. Doesn’t feel special. Cream sauces tasted processed and missing cheese. Spinach and artichoke appetizer had no cheese in it. 5 chips around the plate.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Trivia-no longer give out prizes. No incentive to play the games. Don’t bother going to the Spa Embarkment draw. The prizes are $100 vouchers for any signature spa treatment that cost minimum $200 and you also have to pay the 18% gratuity. It’s not really a prize, just a way to get you to spend more money.

Entertainment

Enjoyed the shows.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Love the promenade

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This wasn’t our room number. We stayed in a promenade room. We liked it.

Ship tip

The Diamond lounge is very nice and peaceful l, busiest time is 4:30-6pm.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

2 out of 5
We only had 24 hours in Bermuda. Originally when booked we had 2.5 days. Got cut down due to hurricane but I thought we should have been reimbursed the port fees we paid for 2.5 days and only got 1 day. Where did the money go?

Nassau, Bahamas

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Would liked this fay to have not been on Sunday. Specifically booked this cruise to avoid Sunday port days.

I don’t know if we will ever see pre-COVID sailing. I’m hopeful but realistic that a new norm has unfortunately been set. I do love sailing but there are certainly differences.

Hopefully things will go back to pre covid sailing after the cruise lines recoup the billions they lost during the 2 year shutdown. Until then just keep your expectations very low. They're cutting all these corners to get back all that lost money.
