Review summary

We booked this cruise because we got a good price and wanted to go to Bermuda. We probably would only book Royal Caribbean again if we got a really excellent price on a short cruise unless/until the food is improved.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We did not have to stand in line for embarkation. It was about 15 minutes from the terminal door to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
This was the worst food experience we have ever had on a ship. The service was great, the food was not. I have never walked through the buffet before without finding something that looked appetizing. The main dining room had a very limited menu featuring a lot of pasta, rice, potatoes and entrees that were just not special. The food was under seasoned. There were very few fresh vegetables offered. Desserts were mostly dry cakes or varieties of pudding.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were a lot of activities, from sports to trivia. The cruise director and his team did a good job.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The headliner shows were all enjoyable.

Children's Programs

We did not have children in our group.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our cabin was well looked after. The waiters were very good, remembering our beverage preferences, and providing excellent table service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
This is a bigger ship than we usually prefer, but we had no problem finding areas that were uncrowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a very roomy junior suite with a huge walk in closet and a large sofa. The tv was pretty small for this size of cabin.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This was the first time we have been in Nassau since the cruise port area was upgraded. What a difference. We really enjoyed it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was quick and seamless. We were off the ship and back in our car within 20 minutes.

Good on this “new menu” just isn’t as good in our opinion either. Cutting corners on the basics.

Glad you had a great time, minus the food. We always bring seasonings on board to help the bland food.
