There’s been a decline in service and overall experience. We made the best of it but truly not what we are accustomed to.

We enjoyed everything. Cruise Director Kyndall Fire took things to another level.

I'm more of a people watching type of person and using serenity area towards front. I went to few of shows which was great. I also hot my money worth of the thermal suites. Best times to go is port days and after 6pm till 10 pm. Otherwise it's very crowded.

Good cruise nice cabin. Food good in MDR. Zip line and ropes course was awesome. I do prefer the Horizon over her but it was a good ship.

We love this ship and want to do a back to back on her again one day!

Great looking ship, but the size does not meet the space capacity for the number of passengers. I prefer the ships like the Dream and the Magic. Spent to much on a ocean suite that was lacking the space in comparison to the smaller ships.

My new favourite ship. Had a great time. Yes it’s full of people and at times there were lines but it’s layout meant it never felt too crowded. Feels like Carnival put a lot of effort and thought into this ship.

To crowded and under staffed. Gust services lines always A minimum of 20 minute wait we found them very rude

Take this review with a grain of salt as we can only speak about what we experienced. Mardi Gras is a huge, beautiful ship with lots to see and do. Pack your patients and tolerance, as some of your fellow travelers may not exhibit the proper decorum, etiquette, as one would expect. We came across some very self-entitled passengers that thought nothing of blasting their own personal taste in music through their Bluetooth speakers, when asking them nicely to lower the volume; you receive a reply that is less than accommodating. Be aware of the constant aroma of marijuana wafting over from the smoking areas too. Carnival is known as the “Fun Ship” and Mardi Gras was a huge 24 hour, 7 day floating party. We chose to sail on Mardi Gras as it is Carnival’s newest ship, even though we have never sailed with Carnival before. There are many, many people that love the Carnival brand, but unfortunately we will probably be looking at Celebrity, NCL or Royal for our next cruise.

Great cruise good to back to no masks and Covid scare

Cabin: ver comfortable and perfect for 2 people. Was shocked by how small bathroom is. Bring a "shoe organizer" to hang on door...your going to need it. Air was perfect...amazing views. Quiet cabin. Very convenient to elevator and center of everything Food: Not disappointed by our specialty food place. SO many choices! Lido marketplace was our favorite for breakfast. Main Duning room not what it used to be. Only went twice. Staff: Friendly as expected but clearly overworked. Once a day service is what you get. Be easy on these people. Ice cream stations are awesome. But there is only ONE open 24hrs and it's a hike. Lines: Elevators is my biggest complaint. You wait awhile and then they are full. But I never experienced food lines for more then just a couple minutes! Ports: Honduras was AMAZING!! Favorite port! Do carnivals excursion for parrots...monkeys and sloths. Its worth the money for the air conditioning alone. Honduras is HOT AND HUMID!!! Embarkation/Debarkatation....EASY. Have your paperwork in a file in one place and it goes quick!! Bolt: was broken down 3/4 of the time...it's LOUD inside from it when it is. On this ship...stay in a mid ship cabin...trust me on this! Final note: after cruising mardi gras...there are pros and cons. But I was overall very 😊 happy

Overall everything was a nice experience; the staff always made sure we were good and super helpful. All of the various restaurants were a good and fun experience! The Havana Bar in the evening was a lot of fun and the band was amazing!

Overall experience was just OK. I’ve been on the carnival Breeze and the Vista, which were unforgettable. Had the service been consistent I would’ve rated my experience much higher and I could’ve gotten over the fact the new ship layout was not the greatest. It’s all about service.

I had an amazing time on the ship....food was the best part (Shaq's Big Chicken) and Guy burgers as always....I did 3 excursions, one in each stop, and the comics were really good on this particular ship definitely 5 stars.

It was not what I expected, there was not much organization to get out of the boat both in the islands and on the last day. The elevators were always full, the wait was long. The food was not the best.

So much attention to detail went into designing the Mardi Gras. Chibang was a hit and we ate there 3 of the nights on our cruise. Pools are packed during the day but that is to be expected with over 4,000 guests on board. Make sure you arrive early for shows (piano bar, events with seating, comedy club) they will all fill up very quickly! For how big the ship was, we didn’t think we did much walking. Be prepared to wait for elevators however. And biggest tip: even if the elevator is going in the opposite direction as you’re going, just get on and ride it. That’s the quickest way to get to where you want to go, besides using stairs!

Overall everything was Great.Enjoyed the entertainment. Guys Burgers was great!! Could have had more food selections on the Buffet. Shout out to the Fortune Teller Bar Crew.

Would not recommend this ship, and would not sail on Carnival Mardi Gras again!
