I'M PLATINUM WITH CARNIVAL, this last cruise has made me rethink my choices, I will be cancelling my scheduled cruise for September 2024 on carnival, I will be trying Royal Caribbean or NCL NEXT. The Mardi gras is over hyped and Definitely overrated, it's a very Dull looking ship with unfriendly staff. Extremely Rude Dr. Seuss breakfast (Carlos) ruined it for 7 1st time cruisers and 4 others . Food choices were not many and most entrees were not flavorful, more like cafeteria food . The ICE CREAM IS NOW ICE MILK, NOT CREAMY NOT GOOD AT ALL. A FEE FOR POPCORN IS ABSURD. Overall not a good experience for me and my family of 12 totalling 14 of us that took this cruise.

Despite the disappointment with the ship itself, we had a great time visiting with friends from a previous cruise. We had meals and Tea Time together and found things to do on sea days if we did not see a scheduled activity that appealed to us. The excursion "Discovering Roatan; Monkeys, Sloths, and Macaws" was tremendous fun. The sloths were cute and gentle while the monkeys were wild and unpredictable. The macaws were heavier than I expected. The colors of their feathers were vibrant, making the birds striking to see. It was a great day interacting with the animals.

One of the best cruise ships we have been on. We are booking again for next September.

Any family would be happy to tour different parts of the world with Carnival.

Great ship was unsure how a large ship would work out for us. But it went really good, ready to go on another one real soon!

Great cruise, great staff and great ship for families.

This was our first Carnival cruise. We took this cruise because Port Canaveral only has a certain amount of different ships, and out of curiosity, we wanted to check out the Mardi Gras, since it was there and convenient for us. Unfortunately, because the dining experience(s) were bad, very bad, the overall cruise left a bad taste in our mouth - literally! I enjoy a salt water pool, and because the tiny pools were always crowded, I don't even know what type of water it was filled with. I couldn't recommend Carnival to friends and family with a clear conscience.

The Mardi Gras's wonderful ship. We had a wonderful time despite a few bumps in the road the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The entire time that we were out the food on the whole was excellent. The atmosphere was fun and exciting. I will definitely cruise on the Mardi Gras again.

Easy on/Off. Outstanding customer service! Huge ship with a lot to do!

They need to treat everyone the same and not be afraid of conflict. I got rudely yelled at for saving a spot for my handicapped wife in the theatre....in the handicapped seating mind you, but on deck 17 in the smoking section it was like I was in a cheech and chong movie!! nobody ever said a word to anyone openly smoking weed all day and night!!

I do not recommend Carnival. Being a new ship did not improve the overall experience. Biggest disappointment is that the food is barely edible.

I had a great time . Their was some amazing staff like Sheila serving coffee at the marketplace , Leslie from flamingo also not sure of his name from Havana cafe he is from Columbia I believe his name is Juan .Also my stateroom attendant Margaret These crew members went above and beyond to make my experience and unforgettable . They were a few crew member that wasn’t approachable . I didn’t like the way they responded when I ask a question. I always said is not what you say is the way you say it . What made this trip unforgettable to myself and my family was Jacky Tang . I’ve been to so many cruises and never encounter a cruise director like him . I was traveling with my dad he is elderly that doesn’t speak English very well. He enjoy Jacky Tang so much that he would ask me when is his next show or activity . It’s all he care about seeing Jacky . He is the best cruise director ever .

It was a great cruise to end the summer. The ship is big so alot of walking. Everyone on the ship were friendly and inviting and I would highly recommend especially for families.

I was not happy with a lot of things when it came to Carnival. The ship's elevators were always packed, the pool was way too small for the amount of people, we had issues with obtaining reservations in other restaurants until 8pm, gym was supposed to open at 6am but didn't open until 6:15-6:20am, food was not consistent, buffett did not have enough variety was poorly put together for the amount of people on the boat. The only thing that was above average, was the wait staff in the main dining area and housekeeping. If I wanted good food I had to go to Big Chicken, Guy's Burgers or the Palm. I will never sail with Carnival again, we will stick to Royal Caribbean.

We had a wonderful time. Enjoyed the ship and the ports. Plenty to do if you choose to not get off the ship. The meals were good with a lot of variety. Almost always somewhere to grab a meal or a snack. Entertainment was plenty from comedy shows to musical performances. We played Bingo and enjoyed the casino as well.

Overall this was a great cruise experience. The issues I encountered were fairly minor and I certainly did not allow them to ruin this cruise. After all I am on a cruise to have fun and enjoy, and that I certainly did! This was My first experience on a LARGE cruise ship and I am not used to the crowds we encountered at some of the shows.

Absolutely fun!! I had a great time! Would definitely recommend the Mard Gras and entertainment with Jackie Tang the cruise director!
