Review summary

This was cruise 18 for us and we enjoyed most of the time, seas were extremely calm so that was really a plus, wished for time in Skagway ( the reason why we decided to go back to Alaska)…and could have skipped Icy Straight Point if we would have had a whole day in Ketchikan

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had a wheelchair for my husband plus we were in green

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not go to any specialty restaurants, but we do enjoy early dining and sale table plus waiter each night… great experience

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are lots of things to do onboard, we did not participate, since my husband has a bad back and not able to get around very well, but enjoy sitting by the pool and reading

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Truly enjoy each nights entertainment

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was pleasant

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything spit shined and everyone of the staff were constantly cleaning

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was great, but did not realize the emergency lifeboats were right below our balcony, so a little more obstructing that other cabins on other ships we have been on

Ship tip

Obstructed cabins on the deck we were on really do not have as beautiful as view as other areas

Ports of call

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska

4 out of 5
Long ride from Anchorage to Whittier

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

4 out of 5
No excursions for us did see Hubbard Glacier

Cruise Glacier Bay

3 out of 5
Did not make it all the way into the Bay Area, guess there was too much ice from the glacier calving

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

2 out of 5
Only thing we did is get off the ship and ride up the gondola…. Look around for maybe half hour then ride it back down and get back on ship… was really looking forward to Skagway since it was canceled 4 years ago due to rough seas at that time and this time it was the rock slide over the railroad tracks near the dock

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved our helicopter ride to Mendenall glacier, we did that 4 years ago as well and enjoyed

Ketchikan, Alaska

2 out of 5
Cruise ship docked early… too early for shops to be open then we’re told to be back on board by 1:45pm… no time to walk into town and enjoy

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
We went from ship to airport, needed a wheelchair assist and never got anyone to help ,so I asked for a wheelchair and I pushed my husband clear thru, I think they said it was a mile, to get to our plane…

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy since we had wheelchair assist, we were taken off and helped to get to the transfer bus
