Review summary

This was our third time to Alaska and was the best one by far!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and seamless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the specialty restaurants is always fabulous! The main dining room was excellent, but we only ate there two nights. The buffet food has dropped a little in quality. It’s just ok. Definitely not as good as it used to be.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We only made use of the fitness center and it was always clean and well maintained.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The service and most staff were fantastic. Our room steward, less so. We met him when we got on the ship and only saw him one other time all week. Among many things, he also failed to bring us important info, like the form to fill out for disembarkation and the claim form for Vancouver. We were in a suite and we are Elite, so it was less than stellar. We aren't demanding people and never complained while on the ship. It didn't ruin our trip though! We had a fantastic time!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Crew were always cleaning and maintaining the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We always get a suite anymore because we like the extra space. Even though we never saw our steward, our cabin was cleaned daily and he did a good job.

Ship tip

Definitely try Harmony restaurant. It's a specialty restaurant and the food is phenomenal!

Ports of call

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
We did an excursion that took us up close to the glacier and also up close to some seals hanging out on a rock. I got some great shots of the glacier calving!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
While it was pretty cool and we saw seals and otters, the glaciers weren't as exciting and active as Hubbard Glacier. But the scenery was beautiful!

Skagway, Alaska Did not visit port

Rock slide. We went to Icy Strait Point instead, which was pretty cool

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did a whale watching excursion, which was pretty awesome!

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We flew on a float plane to Neets Bay to see bears. This was the best! I would have loved to have spent more time there though.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
No excursion, but we spent the night after getting off the ship and flying home. Vancouver is a beautiful city!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and efficient
