only saw room steward the day we sailed. After that he never appeared except once when I had another steward track him down.

If you needed your steward all you had to do was call housekeeping !!

There was a button on your phone to reach your room steward. Because of covid, they were only servicing cabins once per day. You could also use the button on the medallion display outside the door. We were on the same cruise and had great service.
