Review summary

It was one of the best cruises we have ever taken. From the iconic Sydney Opera House to Tauranga’s Te Puia Thermal reserve and Maori Village recreation to the stunning Fjordland National Park and colorful Botanical Gardens in Wellington and Dunedin it was exciting, interesting and unique. The Majestic Princess is a beautiful ship, the rooms comfortable and the staff was attentive and friendly and the entertainment was wonderful!

Sydney was wonderful! We stayed there for 4 days prior to our cruise and toured the Blue Mountains and Featherdale Wildlife Park. We also did a Harbor lunch cruise one day and saw Westside Story at the Sydney Opera House! Loved it all!

Our favorite port! We went to Te Puia Thermal Reserve home to the recreation of an early Maori village where they greeted us with a traditional Haka Welcome Ceremony followed by a beautiful dance by the women. The magnificent Pohutu Geyser , boiling mud and National Carving School is also there. From there we went to the Agrodome where we saw a sheep shearing and demonstration of the herding Sheep Dogs!

sarad1991 There were children on board, most from Australia as their schools were on a two week hiatus. Enjoy!

Great review. Me and my little family are off to NZ on the majestic next Friday. Just wandering if there were many children on board?
