Review summary

Was a lovely 13 night cruise on the Majestic Princess, largest princess ship in the fleet. It was a cruise to New Zealand weather was cold and wet most of the time, still had a few sunny days other than that still had an enjoyable time. The ship was lovely in its self, good entertainment, food and seating.

All very good with a good variety of food choices. Only went to one specialty restaurant Crown Grill and Bar. The buffet was excellent staff very attentive and selection of food good.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was small but cosy and very clean, bed comfortable but high off the ground was a little hard for me to get into. Shower room tiny but practicable good shower. We had a balcony also on starboard side.

Did not get off here weather was not good at all very wet and cold and you had to go ashore by tender boat and it was rough.

Akaroa, New Zealand

5 out of 5
Did a tour at Akaroa even though it was very wet and cold. The hills are beautiful with sheep and cows scattered on them. Our tour was to little river a quaint little place with its old buildings.

Tauranga, New Zealand

5 out of 5
Love this place so easy to get around, you can do a tour if you like or just a short walk into town, walk around Mt Manganui which takes an hour and a half. The choice is yours.

Port Chalmers (Dunedin), New Zealand

5 out of 5
Port Chalmers is a lovely spot and very interesting with Scottish history. We did not disembark this time as we have been there before.
