Amazing Oct 1 Cruise by loreleinash

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Cruise was great, even if we did not get off at Cozumel. But the way we got off ship in Galveston, has me wondering if I ever want to do that again..... My grand children were abused, in that they were so sweaty and miserable, so were the adults! Much walking here and there, what in the world happened to the good old days... Wow that actually hurt to think about that Sunday morning!

Best trip on Liberty of the Seas yet.......... by Wildbill

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were in the Presidential Suite.......who would think that us little old average Texans would be residing there, but due to my diamond status and a good sale and Haley's help, we arrived.  The amenities afforded that room are awesome.  The concierge (Jorge Gutierrez) was the nicest and most helpful person I have ever met on any ship and I have cruised a lot and on about 6 lines.  He gets six out of a five star rating.  The ice show was very good, but was unimpressed with several other shows and would not attend any others unless pressured by a group I was with.  Some of the best entertainment on the ship was in the lounges and the guitarist Wojtek Kozikowski (and yes, I had to look at the cd I bought to spell it correctly) was outstanding.   His hands flew over his guitar and everyone got goose bumps when he played Malaguena.  Just sitting and listening or watching people dance in the lounge on the Promenade deck was a joyful experience.   I hope he is still there on our next cruise, and we will spend a lot of time listening to him.  A guitarist or pianist that are as wonderful and talented as this guy, really appeal to those of us that do not like silly types of entertainment.  The Windjammer has the best food on the ship (other than Chops, and their steaks can't be beat !)   The Chef's Table experience was very enjoyable, but would like it more if recipes, more talk about the kitchen and the people that work there, etc.........were included.  Lots of wine was served, but we were more about the food and fun presentation of that food.  I would want them to make it a seven rather than five course meal, and have more fun with the appetizer, salad, and desserts in their presentation.  It was a wonderful trip and we are booked in that room next year and the next............we really really liked it and it suited our style of cruising.

Impressive! by mustang4cno

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

A truly terrific cruise! Our first as Suite members. The upscale accommodations in treatment after 10 years and junior suites was definitely nicer than what we are accustomed to. The concierge lounge is nicer than that for Diamond and the reserved seating the pool and shows was great! We also enjoyed having breakfast at Chops Grill as well as lunch at Geovani‘s as part of the Suite life! Even being escorted off the ship was truly sweet. It was a nice splurge that was not that big of a cost difference aboard the ship for some reason.

Wonderful Cruise by rebekah1016

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall cruise was wonderful! Having a balcony on the 13th deck had some advantages, this deck has been refurbished and added so much more storage, bathroom has all new decor! However the disadvantage was all the smoke coming from the smoking decks below, the smell was so strong we couldn't enjoy breakfast on the balcony, Port of Galveston disembarking was not pleasant, port is not big enough to handle this size of ship. If you can do self assist program I highly recommend doing it for this for this port! After our number was called at 9am, we finally cleared customs at 1030! Captain and the crew were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our cruise was enjoyable!

First Cruise Ever 😍 by nearlyselena

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Liberty of the Seas has gained a permanent place in my heart. I am so happy and wish I lived on a cruise. There was so much to do and so little time. I needed an extra week to experience everything else I couldn’t get to. But of course I had to book another adventure!

Our love affair with Liberty continues 💕 by geschingham

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

This was a cruise to celebrate our anniversary, and it was so wonderful. We have cruised a lot, so we rarely buy excursions anymore; we would rather enjoy the mostly empty ship pools or maybe walk around the port. Overall, the crew was incredible, the food was amazing, and there were non stop things to do while onboard. We love this ship and we cannot wait for our next time on it.

Relaxing, affordable, vacation by bluebonnet613

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Even though we have visited all of these ports previously and have been on this ship before, it was an enjoyable, affordable cruise. Highlights for us included the "In the Air" show, the ice skating show, the comedian Heath Harmison, the poolside activities, the game shows, and just chilling in the hot tub and pool area.

Had the Best Experience for my 1st cruise, Staff was wonderful. Boarding was fast. by LifeOfRiles

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

For my first crusis it was awesome, I made many new friends and the Food and Restuarants were awesome. Shout out to the room attendant anad Manny from the Chef's Table. One of the best food experiences I have ever had. Also the All access tour was a good experience. If you want to check out my experience on my Vlog "Life Of Riles" on You Tube.

At least my kid liked it. by MrChocoholic

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My 10 year-old daughter chose this cruise because she wanted to eat real tacos in Mexico. We were limited to a 4 or 5 day because of another trip a day later. So, we booked this ship to Cozumel along with a cooking class and visits to a market and chocolate factory. She loved that.

As for the Liberty, she loved the movie characters aboard, decorating cupcakes, getting a "tattoo," the H20 Zone, air hockey in the extensive arcade, the buffet arrangement at Windjammers, gagaball with other kids her age in the youth program, pizza at Sorrento's, cocoa at Starbuck's (which she called "latte" to sound sophisticated), fries and a shake at Johnny Rocket's, both the well-produced ice show and the quite spectacular main show, a lot of the offerings at the Windjammer, the lobster and service in the MDR.

I loved...the overall concept and design of the ship itself. The art (mostly) except that which was being auctioned. The cleanliness and attention to detail exhibited by the crew. The method used by the Front Desk Manager to deal with a justifiably irate passenger (me) who was sending a negative vibe throughout the entire line waiting for help at Guest Relations. The way she hustled me away from everyone else and into a private office to deal with me was brilliant. Cozumel.

Could not believe it took five trips to Deck Five to resolve issues with my card in the lock. Could not believe they wanted almost $5.00 for a little can of Clamato juice. Could not believe how much food I left on my plate(s) in search of something above mediocre. (Won't go into it but I'll never order the Eggs Benedict again.) Could not believe the $30.00 extra charge for lobster. Could not get in sync with the highly-regulated available hours to Flow-Ride and rock climb so we missed them. Could not believe the investment in an interactive television system that didn't work. Could not believe the cruise line does nothing to mitigate the suffering of those disembarking at the end of the cruise unless you're in a wheelchair. Could not believe two of the three detailed requests I'd made and confirmed concerning my stateroom were forgotten.

My first RCCL Cruise for my 30th bday! by jakecp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Mixed bag of experiences on my first RCCL Cruise. For value on your dollar I think this cruise was worth it. 7 nights and 3 ports was great, Liberty is a large enough ship you find new things everyday of your cruise. Still researching the cruise lines to find where my loyalty belongs, have another 3 cruises booked with RCCL so hopefully this was just an anomaly.
