ROYAL CARIBBEAN is the best cruise line. Won’t cruise with any other.

This was my second cruise and second time on the Liberty Of the Seas and overall it was fantastic and I'm already looking into doing it again. But like anything there were ups and downs, and letdowns. First off the ship is fantastic while I've never been on another cruise ship I've become interested in them and somewhat knowledgeable about the amenities certain ships, and different lines feature. Liberty is to my understanding certainly not the "best" ship in the world but may be the best one sailing from Galveston. It has a capacity of around 3500 passengers and was full on this second cruise but not the first. This did make a difference which I'll get to. The ship is massive, there are larger ships with more everything but it has a large selection of shops, food, entertainment and more. You can buy clothes, OTC medicine, cosmetics, handbags, jewelry, tobacco, alcohol, port and ship specific souvenirs and more. There are multiple pulls and hottubs rock climbing walls, the flow rider, water slides, large theaters an arcade and bars in every nook and cranny you look and kid and teen specific areas but I don't have kids nor am I a teen. The ship has everything you'd want except top of the line oasis class amenities. Now for some negatives. It doesn't have the largest capacity but at times at max capacity it gets very packed and in some places too busy. The buffet at peak times is often chaotic and to get anywhere you need to be a little pushy. This is because for the most part the food is great for being included, but as well the Liberty closes its buffet or areas of it very often and this is true of much of its amenities unfortunately and is the most negative recurring theme in both cruises. You won't get a late night buffet run but sorrentos pizza is free and open 24/7, as is the promenade Cafe excluding speciality beverages. The pools, including the adult only ones close around 7-9 so you won't get a late night swim which given how packed the pools are all day means you may not get a swim if you want room to move. Regardless of that I had a wonderful time with my family all of us 18-50. The crew was wonderful our stateroom attendendent for room 8274 Michelle was fantastic and very detail orientated. She kept the room spotless even when I tried to give her a break and was always friendly. The bartenders in the Casino, Palmer and Dana were lovely and my favorites of the cruise I spent way to much on drinks with them. The food was mostly great, we tried every speciality restruant from chops to Johnny Rockets. And the only one to disappoint me was the Mexican sabors. The food was hit or miss and the serving was comparatively lacking compared to Chops and Giovannis where our needs and wants were anticipated and met beyond expectations. Johnny Rockets was not as good as the first cruise where we went nearly every day but it was good, the price did double unfortunately which didn't help. We as in my partner and I did not attend the main dining as it was generally not to our liking the first time. The rest of our party reported mixed reviews mostly suggesting it was better last time. The bars are great and numerous with a large variety but also a standard assortment if you want. Buy the drink package if you expect to drink often. Beer and wine run 7-10 dollars generally per glass, mixed drinks 12-16, shots 7-12. Soda 3-4 dollars You'll pay if you want to drink either way. Overall is was fantastic, I'd recommend it and intend to do it again.

It was amazing. We went for our honeymoon and we loved it. We definitely want to go on liberty again. We love Royal Caribbean. Best cruise line.

The ship itself was nicd. This is the second time we have been on it. We have noticed that the bartenders by the solarium (adult pool ads) will intentionally skip over a person that has a soda cup in order to serve a person that is purchasing a drink.

I enjoyed cruising with Royal from Galveston. The ship is very pretty. The Captain was very visible, went to two events where he was present and meeting people. That was nice.

We have cruised with Royal Caribbean 9 times and Liberty of the Seas has the best customer service! Everywhere you go the crew makes sure you are taking care of. Our wait staff was Joy and Gene in the MDR. They are a great team and we wanted for nothing. Our stateroom was kept stocked with requested ice morning and night and anything else we needed by Ike (Iketut). We loved Tabyana’s private beach with lunch in Roatan and the Monster Jeep Jungle Ride with Lunch (grilled fresh for us on the beach) in Cozumel for excursions. Great job, Royal Caribbean!

My First Cruise i loved it. I was surprised that we got complimentary Champaign and wine. My next family cruise is 2020 and it will be with Royal. Yes

Liberty of the Seas is a lovely ship. I enjoyed the Veteran Get Togethers and love that RCCL has them. The cruise director was great and very talented. We enjoyed the large venue shows. We found not buying the drink packages worked well for us. We had Crown and Anchor Gold status, so it was nice that we both got the 'perks' and were able to take advantage of them. We booked a second Trans-Atlantic with a back to back on a sister ship while on the Liberty.

Returned today from Western Caribbean cruise. First time RC. Food very good. Excellent crew including Joel our cabin attendent. Great shows. Smooth sailing.

The ship and cruise met all of my expectations. The shows were all very professional, the food in Main Dining was exceptional, and the staff were the friendliest people I have ever encountered on a vacation.

Had a great time overall for our first cruise. Would recommend this ship and ports. We will be booking again for next year with this same ship but different ports so we can do different things.

The cruise started badly with the computers at the terminal. A day into the trip some items were taken from our stateroom. I don't think it was staff but our room was the first off the elevator on the 3rd floor. Not sure exactly what happened but the line really did their best to accommodate us. We were given a decent percentage off another cruise, dinner for 2 at chops and a soda package. Also the line replaced some of the items and attempted to replace another at the ports. These things happen and I can say that royal caribbean did a great job handling it. Aside from that situation we were very happy with the ship, staff and accommodations.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious with many many options. The ship was clean and organized. I would also like to mention that the ship was absolutely beautiful.

We really enjoyed this cruise. We prefer the larger ships but we wanted to see Belize. Everything was amazing. Although there were a few snags, nothing major and nothing to keep us from cruising again and nothing to keep us from cruising on Liberty of the Seas.

I was on liberty OTS 9/16/18 sailing. I’ve sailed many times (over 30 cruises, 9 with royal). I noticed several things that just weren’t up to royal standards on this sailing. Since this was my first sailing on liberty, I don’t know if it was just this sailing or this ship. I am a diamond member, so I board early 1130ish). Went to windjammer to eat right away, before checking out our cabin. Much to my surprise, at 1230, our cabin wasn’t ready. I’ve never had this occur in a Royal ship! They finally let people to their cabins to deck 8 to their cabins, so we figured ours was ready. Wrong. Door was wide open. Bed not made bathroom not cleaned. Finally after flagging someone down they said they would get it done, so we left, and came back around 3. Bed made, bathroom still nasty (black ring around toilet, urine smell in bathroom). Again, called housekeeping and was told our cabin steward went on break. What kind of cabin steward goes on break as passengers are boarding? Don’t they usually greet you? Finally after sailing, our bathroom got cleaned, but we practically had to scream to get it done. Not a great start to the cruise. Mind you, this was balcony cabin so not the cheapest cabin! We also had MyTime dining and I think the wait staff is not very receptive or maybe its because of the automatic tipping RCCL has gone to. One evening, we were seated and were ignored for 15 min while tables in either side of us that came in after us where waited on, (came in after us), we finally just left and went to windjammer. They called us the next day to find out why we left. They were very apologetic but it shouldn’t of happened to begin with. We did eat st chops grille in the 2nd evening and the service and food far exceeds anything you will find in any of other restaurants. The best steak I’ve ever had (that’s saying something since I’m from Texas). Overall nice cruise- but the level of service by cabin stewards, bar service and wait staff left much to be desired. Ship is in good condition and is nice layout, but wasn’t impressed by staff. I doubt I’d cruise on liberty again, although of course I’ll be cruising royal again.

Everything was just great. The incredible staff really did everything they could to deliver a great experience.

Cruise during hurricane season, but there was not trouble. Beautiful weather, great ports. Interior cabin was sub par, will be getting balcony next time. Deluxe drink package makes for a fun trip!

All inclusive tour could use some more better suvenir in package

Had a great time on this ship,not overcrowded...decent food,and wonderful staff.....only issue is no monster energy drinks...wifi pretty pricey. Loved the ports,felt safe on all excursions....Jamaica was our favorite! Will definitely be back....Royal Caribbean ...liberty of the sea...made our very first cruise one we will never never forget.
