A once in a lifetime cruise

Sail Date: April 14, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

The Panama canal was a great engineering feat. That was the best part of the cruise. Some of the ports were not the best stops.  This cruise also is for the OLD  Crowd so if you are younger than 55, this is not the cruise for you.

The shows were good but again for the older crowd.  The food in the main dining room for dinner could have been upgraded on formal nights, the only formal night that had better choices was the last formal night.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Main dining room needed special selections on Formal Nights.
Service and Staff
Roger was a fantastic employee who kept our room immaculate.
Entertainment
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Seems they all just go to shopping areas no matter what excursion you pick.
Cabin / Stateroom
San Diego, California
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Shopping local shops.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala
The animal safari was good, also saw how the people live on the way to the exibit.
Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Panama Canal Transit
Very interesting to see this wonder of the world.
Colon, Panama
Cartagena, Colombia
The fortress was huge, just too bad it was never used. Very HUMID!
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Tip

It was hard to find a complementary beverage since the different areas were almost always closed.
Lemonade and iced tea are standard beverages but there was always an excuse why lemonade was out, had it only three days out of 14, not acceptable.
The beverage packages were priced too high.
