A great trip. Would sail with Holland America again.

Embarkation

Surprisingly smooth for the number of people boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Each location had a large variety of dishes, expertly prepared and presented. Service was friendly and professional.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Other than relaxing on the pool deck, we did not partake of any other activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The naturalist, Natalie, was excellent as well as the bands in the music venues.

Children's Programs

We did not have any children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Top notch service from everyone on the staff. Our room stewards, Rio and Mikeal were extremely professional and attentive.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship had a well thought out design, making it easy to find your way around the decks. It appeared that the ship is cleaned and maintained several times a day.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin was a perfect size for two with plenty of storage, a small fridge, modern bath, and private balcony. Our stewards kept the room very clean.

Ship tip

Keep the Bow channel on so as not to miss and messages from the Captain and Cruise Director. Although messages are broadcast throughout the ship, it was our experience that people did not stop talking. Making it impossible to hear the message.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
The customs and boarding procedure at Canada Place was well organized and quick.

More beautiful scenery.

Juneau, Alaska

We had an excursion scheduled but it was cancelled due to weather. We walked through the main street and had lunch at a crab house.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
The best weather day of the cruise! We took the narrow gauge train to Frazier, BC and enjoyed the scenery. Mia did an excellent job narrating the story of the Gold Rush.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
What we could see was spectacular. Unfortunately it was a rainy, windy day. We were on the other side of the ship when a whale appeared.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Our first choice tour was cancelled so we opted for a Duck Boat Tour with Jonathan and Bryce. It was so much fun! Even though it rained, we still saw the sights of Ketchican City and the harbor. It was our first trip on a duck boat and we would definitely do it again.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent! Directions were clearly communicated to the passengers and everyone followed them in an orderly fashion.
