Review summary

We choose this cruise for it's itinerary. All was great except for Corsica. As far as we're concerned, we could have stayed onboard and had a better time. Overall it was a great cruise, great family get-away. Great friends, good food and great drinks.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest Embarkation we have experienced in over 20 years of cruising.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good not great. We did experience the "Chief's Table" that was fabulous.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We use the pool quite a bit. It was clean and never crowded

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We went to 2 shows and they were good, not great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We never wanted for anything.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship shows it's age but was always clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Overall the cabin was good. Enough room to move. Or cabin steward kept things neat and tidy.

Ship tip

The ship is smaller than we we are use to. Make friends quickly as you will see them often.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
We extended our stay by 2 additional days in Rome. If you are an ancient history buff this is the place. A lot to do, always on the go. Great food.

Cartagena, Spain

Barcelona, Spain

Loved Barcelona. The city was easy to navigate. Went to La Familial and was amazed. Food was great. We plan to go back to Barcelona and spend a week. 1 day wasn't enough time do everything we wanted to do.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Great scenery, went on a catamaran excursion which was great.

Ajaccio, Corsica

1 out of 5
Had several bad experiences. Cab driver was an hour late picking us up and wanted to charge us 40 euro to drive less than a mile to a beach. I have him 5 euro and told him to leave. We walked back to the ship. Additionally, my daughter wanted to buy a charm for her Pandora bracelet. We went to the Pandora shop and basically was told since we didn't speak French they didn't want to sell us anything. We were able to communicate every other place we visited but here. We found the people we came into contact to be very unfriendly and rude.

Portofino, Italy

5 out of 5
We discovered Portofino on our own. Lovely place to walk around. Great food and wine.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We had an 8:30 disembarkation time but was in no hurry. We left the ship at 10:00, No lines and our luggage was east to find.
