Review summaryIt turned out to be a good holiday besides the negative welcome. We had a very negative experience getting onboard jewel of the seas. Everything was fine; until we were given our cabin. We had several issues; like faulty safe, damaged luggage, no hot water in shower and sink and a very uncomfortable mattress. We reported these issues at the front desk; and the first 3 issues were being sorted out in a very polite manner. But with regards to the mattress issue, after few minutes one of the staff ( a stateroom attendant without identifying her name and role) came to our cabin yelling at us and in a very rude manner told us that rcl dont offer any 'sponge'. All she could do for us is a douvet underneath the sheets. (By the way; we didn't ask for any sponge... all we wanted was a comfortable mattress). We reported this attitude at the front desk and this problem was also tackled. We were assigned another cabin attendent and everything went smooth. She provided us with some kind of topper on top of the mattress and the problem was solved. We were assisted by several duty managers with regards to this problem; as we could identify who this person was. She was amanda - stateroom attendant of cabin 3083. As I said before we were assisted in a very polite manner from duty managers and the second cabin attendant (dolores) was very polite and everything went well.
