Review summary

We all are different, so to sum up our thoughts on this cruise - if we could do it again tomorrow we would.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was quick and seamless, perfect...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Breakfast via room service pretty good, buffet was excellent, not huge but good selection of hot entrees, wonderful salads and naughty desserts. MDR was just Ok, Chops Grille very good. Service was top class throughout the ship.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Bearing in mind this was an up n out cruise when we were on the boat there were a multitude of activities to take part in and difference genres of music to enjoy. The Gym, pool and sun beds were accessible at all times which was great, never a hassle in the theatre or other music venues.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
From above, the main group in the theatre were OK, but the other bands/groups were good and the entertainment team did precisely that. Plus there's a couple of pool tables and board games available which is a nice touch.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Just about perfect. The waiters made the eating experience more enjoyable, bar staff great fun and our steward did a fine job

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
An older sightly smaller ship which is a touch tired. But it swallowed the 2400 passengers with ease. Easy to navigate around and spotless

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We take far too many clothes on cruises, all where stored with ease. The bed was mucho comfy, bathroom big enough and the balcony was huge. The only gripe was that with a huge balcony why no reclining chairs?

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Rome is one of the world's great Cities, we spent three days there pre-cruise

Souda (Chania), Crete

3 out of 5
Crete is a large island and Chania was a pleasant stop but not representative of the island. Nice shops/cafes and lovely habour area

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Took a Taxi from the ship into the centre of town. Just as you expect a Greek Isle to be, all white, narrow streets full of shops, bars, cafes and eateries. Lovely place and a fun water taxi back to the ship.

Rhodes, Greece

5 out of 5
Ship docks opposite the old Town and exploring that on foot is a real treat. Shops, cafes, bars, churches, ruins, castle, synagogue the place has everything.

Santorini, Greece

4 out of 5
We took a half day excursion around the island. The geology is astounding, the ship bobbing about in a volcano, amazing. The island in comparison is nice, the picture postcard white villages are precisely that but are in danger of being over touristy. Nevertheless well worth the visit

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
half day excursion again here. The port was a surprisingly pleasant place and Athens open, green and full of traffic . You gotta see all the ruins, scaffolding, tower cranes and all. Our tour guide was a gem and made the trip most enjoyable. Go to the old town its lovely .

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Excursion to Pompeii, which is breath-taking.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Perfect, walked off, picked up luggage and went home.
