Review summary
This was our very first cruise for my partners 40th Birthday. It was fantastic from start to finish.
We arrived at the port in Rome. There were no queues and we checked in straight away without any problems. The checkin staff were very helpful and friendly.
We boarded and and started to explore the ship. Our rooms weren't ready till 13.00. We only had half hour to wait.
With it being our first cruise we couldn't believe the size of the ship and how friendly the staff were.
The rooms were spotless and are cabin attendant very friendly and helpful.
The ports that we stopped at were so nice. It was great waking up somewhere different every day and having a bit of time at each stop. We tendered out on 2 stops. Mykonos and Santorini. It took a bit of time getting off the ship but the way some people were moaning it was like they'd queued for weeks. The staff were doing their best.
The food was really good food and so was the entertainment.
We loved sitting in the Safari lounge at the back of the ship although one problem was the bar man there wasn't very nice. I wish now I'd had complained. Everything seemed a problem to him. We didn't get his name but he was Puerto Rican. Never smiled at us and when we asked for a can of Diet Coke for a mixer it was like it was a major issue.
The other staff were excellent tho.
