Review summary

This is the 4th time we have taken this itinerary and always enjoy these islands and usually Royal Caribbean. We travelled with two couples who normally do not cruise with Royal Caribbean (usually N and C lines) to show them why we enjoy RC so much. The ship was nice, service was great, food was good but activities and entertainment were very disappointing. Live music was few and far between. On 3 of the 7 nights there was no early show for late diners and the only good entertainment we wanted to see was scheduled so late at night it wasn't practical to go. Not on a cruise where you get to see a new island every day and have excursion planned. The cruise director was not very friendly and acted like every appearance was just a part of the act for him. Whoever scheduled the on board activities did a terrible job. Didn't do much to persuade our friends to take future RC cruises. Bummer for us.

Our room steward Theresita was the best.

Hope they redo their activities schedule and get a new cruise director soon.

Enjoyed the shopping and dining and sites. Only bad thing was the taxi drivers strike during our stay. They were striking against Uber being allowed into old San Juan. Nothing we had any control over so just rolled with it.

Wife and friends took an off road excursion we booked our selves. They had a blast. Tan Tan tours.

We shopped for a new wedding ring for my wife here. Neutral for this stop currently. She found a band she really loves and we bought with help from the shopping lady in negotiating the price. Should be all good right. We get back and she goes to have the ring insured and our jeweler thinks the ring is not work near what we paid for it. She is having it officially appraised right now. If it comes back not worth what we paid Royal Caribbean, Diamonds International and anyone else who will listen is going to hear about it. Just a word of caution.
