7 Night Alaska Sawyer Glacier (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 14, 2015
Ship: Jewel of the Seas
Cabin Type: Inside
Cabin Number: 3545
Traveled As: Couple

We had a great time on this cruise.  We loved the food, the itinerary, and the staff (mostly).  The Sawyer glacier was especially dramatic and beautiful, especially since we saw a huge avalanche during the time we were there.  A couple of things we didn't like:  Dennis, the cruise director, took too much time onstage which could have been better used by actual performers.  There were no little sweet snacks such as ice cream or cookies available for late night snacking.  The seating in the Main Dining room was kinda weird, they made you sit at tables with 6 other people instead of giving private tables when there were plenty free.

Food and Dining

I wish there had been options with late night snacking instead of just pizza.

Entertainment

Too much cruise director Dennis, the juggler was only onstage about 15 minutes, the resident dancers and singers were wonderful.

Service and Staff

Johnny Diego, our waiter, was exceptional and did a great job. However, we weren't happy with the cabin steward, she didn't give us our luggage tags or our final bill.

Cabin / Stateroom

LIked the cabin, it was adequate, and cleaned well. The steward didnt bring us our luggage tags or leave us our final bill, however.

Ship Tip

I liked the Solarium and was glad that no kids were allowed and that the rule was upheld. It was always warm and nice inside. The informational lectures were very good.
