Review summary
My husband and I just recently returned from our 5th cruise, our first with Royal Caribben aboard Jewel of the Seas, and we would highly, highly recommend the Jewel and the Southern Caribbean cruise! The boat is smaller but you would never know it! This was the smallest boat we had ever been on but we loved the more intimate experience - there were no lines and you still felt as though you had plenty of room - it did not feel crowded. Our balcony stateroom was immaculate and we had a wonderful room steward. The dining room offered quality food choices and a diverse menu. The spa was also very refreshing! All crew members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. All the features of the boat were great but we have to say that the port intensive itinerary was what really made the trip spectacular! 5 ports in 5 days with huge time windows at each island made for an active yet relaxing trip. We don't prefer too many "at sea" days so this cruise was perfect for us, with only one "at sea" day on the way back. Overall out of all 5 cruises we've been on over the past few years, this is the only one that we've both agreed we would sign up to do again tomorrow! Highly recommended for young couples looking for active days and relaxing evenings!

Ship tip
The Solarium pool area was less crowded than the main pool on most days. The Sea View Cafe was a little hidden gym up on the 12th deck that served made to order diner food - great for a quick snack, especially when the Windjammer was closed between meals!
