Review summary
This is our third cruise on RCL. We enjoyed the excellant service from the minute we entered the pier in San Juan until we came back. The crew could not have been any better in trying to accomodate our needs. The ship was clean and lots to do. There are several areas that need to be updated. The beds were extremly hard and we did not get any restful sleep nights. We did add two pillow tops that helped a little but on the other ships from RCL Oasis and Seranade of seas the beds were very good. Had an old tv could use an upgrade to flat screen as the picture was very fuzzy. The food in the Tides was medicore for the most part, there were several nights were it was very good but that was the exception. Our compliments to the pastry chef everything he did was excellant. The Windjammer was very good and of course the Chops Grill was excellant. Used more rolls of single ply toilet paper than if they used 2ply. The shows were just ok except for the last night the comedian was great. The cruise director was spot on and was a great addition to the staff to keep things rolling along. The Captain was entertaing and accessible.
We are going on another RCL cruise this Nov to the Pannama canal from San Diego on the legend of the Seas. I understand that the ship was just remodled and hopefull the beds will be better.
The crew does get A plus-- they were great.
