Learn your way around beforehand to save frustration. Also, take the stairs whenever possible to keep from piling on the pounds.

Don't eat at Sabatini's. Avoid the buffet. Eat dessert early and often. Go to afternoon tea. It is delightful. Spend a couple of days in Vancouver. Don't take kids; they will be bored.

Review the daily Patter and make a plan on what you want to do. You can't possibly do it all!!

Don't book a room with a standing shower if you are not extremely petite.

Make sure to go to meals in the dining room, buffet foods were not nearly as good as dining room meals.

Interact with Natalie, the cruise director, and her staff. They are amazing people and work hard at making the cruise fun.

Bring lots of reading material. Great for alot of R and R but unless you are in your 70s it's boring on sea days. Some great lectures though. Music very old type... I'm in my 50s and music very old. Lots of violin type bands. But great for rest and relaxing.

Be flexible

We liked forward on decks 10 or 11 for icebergs.

Aging ship, smaller ,easier to navigate your way around

Make use of the aft deck floor 8, few people and unobstructed view.

We sailed Aug 14-21 and did not see that much ocean wildlife as I thought I would have from the ship - I've been told that if you want to see more wildlife, cruise earlier in the season.

Don’t have any expectations you’ll be disappointed

Anytime dining
bayareaxplant
It's chill, especially during the daytime. If you want to party, you can do that late night with the cruise director et al. If you want to relax, do that.

The dine "anytime" was great. Definitely recommended.
