Thanks for your review. We are on the Island Princess now and she’s not the newest ship and has some quirks but we are having a great cruise. If a sink is out of order at the buffet, use another one, it’s not really a big deal. Smaller ships can go to many ports that other, newer and bigger ships cannot get to.

When is the best time to book a cruise. I had booked the the 52 day that leaves out of LA and ends in Dubai but I canceled because they didn’t refare the price went from almost 15k for a balcony to 12.5k. I just need help from someone that had booked on a world cruise before to tell me when is the best time to book. I don’t want to wait too long to rebook and the price goes up again. Please help first time cruising.

I sailed recently on the Island Princess. It is old and small so it’s not for everyone. If you don’t like that, don’t sail on it and be shocked that it is old and small. It wasn’t my favorite ship but wasn’t bad and you wouldn’t get in to some of those exotic small ports on a new glitzy mega ship.

Loved her on Panama Canal cruise in 2019.
