This is a beautiful ship with a super friendly staff

so much to  onboard that you don't realize that your 8,000 closest friends are traveling with you

time in San Juan was way to short and Haiti was great if your doing the beach but shopping is 700 of the same vendors wanting to sell you

the cruise was awesome from zip lining, to surfing to sliding down 10 stories

make reservations as soon as possible for shows and habatchi restaurant--thewatershow was the best

review of cruise trip by mmotam7331

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It has been few years that i have not cruise with royal caribbean and i was really looking forward to this trip and new ship, but unfourtently  the service and quality of food was really below my expectation compare to my past trips, and they really need to improve on their services and food quality serve on board,

the worse of all was the quality of their shows compare to past was really poor and not good at all the only good show was the ICE SKATING show and the rest was really poor.

The only good things was the CABIN,it was very spacious and well design all around it,

Best cruise by petekimjosh

We loved the relaxation. You can do as much or as little as you want. It had slides, mini golf, flow rider, zip line - even a carousel. So glad we got a balcony. It was so nice to be able to have our own little space to view everything. We really had the best time!

Wonderful ship, good experience, but expensive by tspara323

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Harmony of the Sea ship was spectacular in its size, decor, and what it had to offer in terms of entertainment and activities.  Food and service was good and plentiful.  However, I had the constant sense of "upselling", whether it be very expensive "specialty" restaurants, jewelry, a variety of ship-sponsored photo ops, etc.  If one is not careful, one could very easily spend an amount equal to at least 50% the cost of the cruise, or more.  Also, the ship's size accommodated over 6000 passengers.  This made competition for deck chairs around the pools very difficult.  The early claimer of deck chairs, "camped out" most of the day, leaving very little for those that choose to sleep a little later.

Harmony by MJRJ

Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Beautiful ship. Largest in the world by the way. Very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of things to do on board. The shows were all entertaining and very well done. Food was very good and the specialty dining experiences were wonderful. With 1,000s on board you would think long lines everywhere but, this was not the case. Easy on and off the ship at ports of call too. A few things were disappointing. Some passengers brought their own music devices on board so if you went to a hot tub or other public area you may be forced to listen to their music. RC needs to address this issue. Also, no pool in the adult area Solarium; just a stand-up sprinkler/mister area. Lastly, if you go to the spa for a treatment, be prepared for automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill and a sales pitch at the end to purchase their products. We cruise every year or sometimes every two years so with that said we would recommend sailing on the largest cruise ship in the world if you can.

Harmony of the Seas June 24 by glmerle99

Great cruise. The personnel and staff were fabulous. Excellent service. The employees aboard the ship don't know how to so NO!. They will do anything in their capacity to insure a great guest experience. Food was great in the main dining room. The cruise director, Abe Hughes, was great and very visible. His staff and shows were excellent. The only downside was the specialty restaurant Chops. The colossal shrimp cocktail were not and the creamed spinach was overly salted. They should model this steakhouse after Ruth's Chris. Otherwise we greatly enjoyed our vacation.

A great ship with lots to do.  Not as much to do for my 8 year old as my 11 year old could do.  I thought the restaurant options were limited for upscale food.  (Just the main dining rooms or the Solarium Bistro)  Other than that it was all junk/snack food.  Pools seemed to be packed when we were at sea.  I wished the Solarium had a pool.  The ice cream machines seemed to be having problems a lot and the lines were long.  I would have liked to have seen more drink specials for those without a drink package.

Harmony of the Seas by abiller

Harmony of the Seas was a great cruise. The cruise director and staff were awesome and there was always something fun to do.  Our staterooms were nice and spacious, along with the attendant who was fabulous. The only negative was the dining experience.  The food was terrible.  Nothing about it was good.  Service was slow and once you got the food in the main dining room it was not worth the wait.  The buffets were so-so.  They offered pizza 24 hours a day and it tasted like frozen pizzas.  The specialty restaurants were good, especially Chops. Great food and service.

Harmony is an AMAZING Ship! by DavidandNilda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It's hard to believe that there were over 5,000 people on this cruise, because you never felt like you were in a crowd. The design of this ship provides so many areas for passengers to gather, eat and just relax! Four pools, spas everywhere and of course the quiet, tranquil area of the Solarium. The shows were absolutely amazing....clever sets, talented performers and so very entertaining! I can't say enough about this fantastic experience and highly recommend any cruise destination on the Harmony of the Seas!

Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas is fantastic by alxroberts

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The staff was outstanding.  We were always greeted by service staff wherever we were on board.  The wait staff was excellent in all restaurants.  Our family of 6 enjoyed Jamie's Italian the best... the appetizers and deserts are truly incredible.  We also enjoyed Izumi and Wonderland.  Wonderland is definitely an experience.  You may not enjoy if you are a meat and potatoes person, but if you like an adventure, you will love it.

The bartenders all throughout the ship were friendly and quick.

The ship in general and our stateroom in particular were extremely clean.  We look closely for "dirt" and there just wasn't any to be found.

The embarkation and debarkation processes were flawless.  We didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes any of the 8 times on/off.  We did carryons  so I can't speak to the luggage handling.

We did private excursions so I can't speak to the excursion efficiency /  quality either.

This was our second time on Harmony and our third cruise, we will definitely do Harmony again!

The points with are awesome too!

Mixed Experience of disappointment in Royal Caribbean and some good parts by AshK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The visit to St. Kitts was by far the best island we have been to.  The people were polite, honest and hospitable.  The visit to Friar's beach was an unexpected gem of surf, sand and immaculate facilities.  On the ship, the wait staff we had were exemplary, and our head waiter worked sincerely on getting to know his guests and ensuring that every night was perfect. Thanks Cosmin.  The food itself in the dining room was on the bland side with limited variety.  The Windjammer buffet was by far better.  The flow rider and water slides were fun for the kids, even though the lines could get really long.  We did notice that the friendliness of the staff outside of the dining room was less than what we  were accustomed to with Royal Caribbean. They were more interested in pushing for a sale than valuing the experience.  Having been on Allure and Freedom, it may not have had anything to do with the size of the ship. Our greatest dissatisfaction was with the balcony room we booked.  We booked a room for 4, 3 adults and a 13 year old.  The room that was sold to us had the accomodation for the 4th person on the floor.  Having paid full price for each passenger, we are expecting equal accomodation for them.  A small mattress on the floor that slides out from under the sofa and remains on the floor is not not what I expect for the cost incurred.  Who wants to smell shoes while trying to fall asleep. We only realized the predicament when we returned to the room after dinner and was expecting to see a sofa bed for 2 and instead saw 1 bed on the sofa, and one on the floor.  In speaking with guest services about it, they said there was nothing that could be done to rectify the situation, and given we are on a ship, we cannot check out and go to a different 'hotel'.  Having cruised with our 2 kids for several years, this was the first time we got stiffed.  The room should have been sold as accommodations for 3, NOT 4. The person at guest services said they would notify the office in Miami so that future ships would not be built with that type of arrangement. Really? How does that help us.  We ended up with 3 to a bed and one on the sofa. Definitely not "Royal Treatment" or a WOW moment.

Beautiful Ship by lsalerno116

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

There is a lot to do on the ship. The food was awful and the service was just as awful. The main dining room had little changes to the menu nightly. The Windjammer was the same thing everyday for breakfast and lunch. The desserts were changed daily.

Great Ship by illy61548

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Loved the ship and activities on board the ship.  I felt the friendliness of this ship's crew was not as good as the Allure and the Oasis, maybe they are new staff, but bartenders and waiters need to get more training of customer service

Overall Enjoyable Experience by brianhayworth

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Harmony of the Seas was our first Oasis Class ship on which to cruise. It had the cleanliness we have experienced from Cunard and Celebrity. The main dining room was mostly a pleasant experience, although it does not have as open of a feel as the Solstice Class ships from Celebrity. The coffee in Windjammer buffet was not very good, and the buffet as a whole is divided into what amounted to two separate but equal buffets. Thus, the feel is not very centralized compared to what seems to be a larger buffet restaurant on the smaller Solstice ships. The extras on board the Harmony are incomparable. The boardwalk, ice rink, Central Park, and Aquatheater add to what is best in other large ships (large theaters, shopping malls and great upper decks). Guest services were very helpful, and we did not feel to be over crowded any more than other ships. Because we were assigned boardwalk staterooms, we were able to go to Johnny Rockets for a complimentary meal. On the the first afternoon this paid off, because the buffet was packed and we did not have to wait at Johnny Rockets for lunch.

We had a great time, but we arranged our air travel through , and we were disappointed to be charged an additional  $25 baggage fee for checked luggage on each flight by Jetblue.

Also, traveling to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts in June is very hot. Nevertheless,  we would go again.

Favorite part was shore excursions, overall a great experience. Maybe I will add more shopping, like clothes, purses. Entertainment on board was also very good and i liked the shows we saw. It was a first cruise for me and I really loved it.

Tremendous Ship but Crowd of People by mariapascual

Ship: Harmony of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It is an amazing Ship, excellent itinerary and good meals.  But you need to love to be in a crowded ambience.  The excursion are out control you need to go out for looking the agency and they are not in time you loose like an hour in every excursion.  Expensive tips for the services,  I only got good services at Guest Service and in the night restaurant.

Harmony of the Seas by dmathew

This was our first time to cruise with Royal Caribbean. We  chose this cruise because of the ship and because Grease was playing.  It did not disappoint.  Although this was the largest ship we have sailed on, we never felt too crowded.  It was very organized and everything was spread out.  The entertainment was okay. Grease was pretty good as well as the ice show Columbus. The aqua shows were entertaining.  Unlike Carnival ships, the atmosphere here was very controlled and calm.  Although there are ample opportunities to "party", the party theme was not everywhere. The fitness center is fantastic.  There are 3 main  dining rooms. The one on the 5 floor ( where we were initially assigned) has no view of the ocean so we moved  to level 4 and loved it. We had anytime dining and that worked good for us.    The food was basically the same as other cruise lines, but we did not go to any speciality restaurants.   The  disembarkation was the easiest we have ever done.
