Review summary
The Harmony of the Seas was our first Oasis Class ship on which to cruise. It had the cleanliness we have experienced from Cunard and Celebrity. The main dining room was mostly a pleasant experience, although it does not have as open of a feel as the Solstice Class ships from Celebrity. The coffee in Windjammer buffet was not very good, and the buffet as a whole is divided into what amounted to two separate but equal buffets. Thus, the feel is not very centralized compared to what seems to be a larger buffet restaurant on the smaller Solstice ships. The extras on board the Harmony are incomparable. The boardwalk, ice rink, Central Park, and Aquatheater add to what is best in other large ships (large theaters, shopping malls and great upper decks). Guest services were very helpful, and we did not feel to be over crowded any more than other ships. Because we were assigned boardwalk staterooms, we were able to go to Johnny Rockets for a complimentary meal. On the the first afternoon this paid off, because the buffet was packed and we did not have to wait at Johnny Rockets for lunch.
We had a great time, but we arranged our air travel through , and we were disappointed to be charged an additional $25 baggage fee for checked luggage on each flight by Jetblue.
Also, traveling to the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts in June is very hot. Nevertheless, we would go again.
