Review summary

This was my 16th cruise and it was decided a good one.. not a great one. but it's a 25+ year old ship so it shows it's age. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a new ship but it still served it's purpose. The hot tubs didn't have bubbles because the pump was broken, and a lot of rust is visible but was still a pretty good cruise. Room was dated, sofa bed was a little hard... my 15 yr old had back issues after two nights on it. We had the Princess Premier package... and it's worth it especially if you are going as a group with other people. Our other two families had the Plus packages and we had the Premier, shared extra wifi accounts, and free photos, honestly, we'll do the Premier package in future cruises.

Medallion boarding is so quick, it took about 4 minutes in total

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main room dining isn't a free-for-all, surf and turf on 2nd formal night was $10 for a second plate. but all in all the food were very good. Had the Sabatini's dinner and man oh man.. that was fantastic, they should tell you that it's a 6 course dinner so skip lunch if you are having it. Medallion delivery services worked really well on the ship.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
we didn't do much as it was an Alaskan cruise and we were busy looking at nature. The standard art sale, bingo, trivia.. the usual. Nothing interested us. The Park rangers narration during the visit to the glaciers were very helpful. You can hear them from your balconies as well.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Some of the singers and musicians were not good.. especially in the atrium. am I being picky? maybe but we never were drawn to stop and listen.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
our stateroom steward and the dining team were fantastic, as well as all other staff we interacted.

Ship Quality

She is old but I don't see what the 2019 refub did. The room's chair was disgusting and lot of rust, chipped furnitures.. but again it's an old ship.. don't expect brand new fancy bling

Cabin / Stateroom

Mini Suite was missing the divider curtain, which would have been nice to separate the kids' area from the parents. It looks tired. For the $$, it wasn't worth it, probably would have done a regular balcony.
