Review summary

the check in and the debarcation were handled in an efficient manner and made that entire process easy and enjoyable. The staff throughout were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Special kudos to Heste at the spa center, the girls Suzanna and Wirah at the bar on deck 7 and the head maître D at the far aft restaurant on deck 6.

I personally was upset at the constant promotion of sales items that were also sold at the shore excursions which made the entire cruise somewhat cheap and commercial. the café lattes on deck 4 were far superior to the ones acquired elsewhere but there was longer lines.

for the most part well prepared and a good variety. Favorites were the beef wellington. My grandson would have like a bigger selection of pastaa

Ship tip

a lot of people and many who gorge themselves on the food and their bodies reflect it. The kids took over most of the pools and the spas unless you went all the way to the back of the ship

Yes there are lots of extras available for sale. The cruise line and excursion company can either raise the initial rate and include more extras or keep fee low and allow those who want to buy extras pay for them. I prefer the later. Either way it is nothing worth getting upset about. It is just how capitalism works. Princess seems to have fewer "promotions" than other lines.

If Suzanna is the bar maid from Serbia, I met her too. Outstanding attitude and customer service. I loved being on the Grand, love that ship and it's staff.

The long line for the "far superior" cafe' lattes is because reviews like this that say how good they are. Shhhhhh! Ship secrets mean smaller lines.
