Review summary

When we booked through the Princess Cruise agent, the only requirement we had is to get a cabin in the middle of the ship as our kids have severe sea-sickness. At the end we got a cabin on the very front of the ship. Our kids suffered horrible sea-sickness for the first two days which totally ruined their cruise experience.

apparently they were bad children and this was their punishment. actually some frequent cruisers are prone to sea sickness but they take sea sickness medication and have an awesome cruise. sounds like someone forgot to pack the sea sickness pills.

Why take your children if they get "severe seasickness" ?

romantikcruiser I do not have all my cruises listed. I am a platinum member with Princess.

One note that places the reality of this post in doubt... the poster has a profile ...but the profile shows no cruise...if the trip was a nightmare and you went to the effort to post this trip...why would you forget the date and the itinerary?

So penalize the cruise line because you and your travel agent did a crappy job?? Shame on you!

Curious Cece...if you never cruised anywhere besides NCL...how did you wind up on the Grand Princess site?

Never needed to look elsewhere.

cece1951............  you can pick your cabin on all cruise lines or you can book it cheaper with a "Guarantee" cabin where your guaranteed a class of cabin,  but not an assigned cabin.   When you book this way it cost less,  but you get the leftover cabins that other people do not pick.

Try Norwegion. I was able to pick my room I wanted.

The middle of the ship doesn't mean directly in the middle it just means no balcony rooms... I also wouldn't blame the cruise I would blame the agents... and yourself for bringing your kids with sea sickness on a boat!

Why in the H$LL would you even go on a cruise if you already know your children have as you stated "severe seasickness"! I would consider that almost child abuse. Also as has been already stated, you could have paid a little more and picked your cabin! I would give you a one star rating!

Did you book a guarantee cabin or did you pick the cabin? Deck plans should have made it obvious where the cabin was, why didn't you call before you sailed and change it?
