Review summary

I was more than a little disapointed that we didn't get to go to Tracy Arm Fjord even though it was one of the main reasons we booked the cruise. The captain gave the excuse of "Operational Issues" which sounded to me like it was too busy. When someone mentions Alaska cruises the first think I think of the seing the majestic glaciers calving off into the water. All we saw were some chunks of ice floatiing by.

The room was OK. It was hard to get the water temp adjusted in the shower and the beds were rock hard but overall it wasn't bad. The crew took excellent care of us cleaning the room and leaving candy next to our pillows every night.

Ship tip

With the exception of Tracy Arm Fjord that we didn't see even though it's in the name of the trip, the excursions we took were good.

Didn't spend much time in Seattle other than boarding and getting off the ship.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan was fun. We visited the Totem Pole carving village and went eagle and bear watching.

We went to Endicot Arm instead that haad little to offer compared to Tracy Arn. Huge disapointment.

Juneau, Alaska

Juneau was great. Instead of one of the Princess excursions we hired a cab to take us to the Mendenhal Glaciers and Shrine to St. Theresa. She was an excellent guide and a lot of fun and a bargain price too.

Skagway, Alaska

Beautiful city. We did the long train ride to the Yukon Territory. I though it was a bit long and would do the shorter trip the next time. Our bus driver Seth was top notch. Panning for gold was great fun. The lumch at the Skagway Inn was excellent too.

One of my favorice cities. The 1.5 mile walk to the inner harbor was well worth it.
