Missed Perfect Day by asnyder44

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

We enjoyed our trip, despite the not so great weather and rocky seas. We realize that a lot was out of our control, but really wished they had gone to Perfect Day and skipped Nassau.

Freedom of the Seas 15-19 January 2024 by FrankJrShipmate

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Embarkation was a breeze! We booked a Junior Suite and loved our balcony and added space. Room service was great and room attendant took really good care of us. Food was good, ship was clean and sanitary, and pools weren’t too crowded onboard. Pools were a little cold for my taste but the hot tub was good to go. Ship overall was in great shape. Perfect day at Coco Cay was outstanding! Recommend planning this port call in your itinerary if possible. I booked the jet ski excursion and it was the best jet ski ‘rental’ experience I’ve had - group has two staff with it the whole time and you get to see the islands from a sea perspective. We booked a day bed and had a great location - there were plenty of chairs throughout though if we hadn’t reserved.

Very fun cruise by Eastoncruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

It was a great cruise a lot to do for kids they have a rock wall two slides and the also have the flow rider. They had ice scaring that was hard would not do again. But that does not mean that it would not be fun for some people. I guess you need to be good at it to have fun on it. They had the best ice cream 🍦. It is a long drive though but that depends on where you live. But in Miami there is a lot of traffic and awful drivers. But it is a very pretty sail away.

For a 3 day getaway, it was VERY fulfilling. You can do a lot in 3 days and still relax. Highly recommend this as well as the ship..

Great first solo cruise! :) by cynthiarae

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Definitely check out specialty dining if you can. Food quality is so much better. Stage show “Once Upon a Time” is a must see. Silent disco is some good old fun!

Worst experience I have ever had. Main highlighted point of trip was cancelled and we were forced to stay on the ship with nothing to do by shorelinep

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Outdated overcrowded ship with minimal activities with the casino as the only day time and most of night options

Terrible experience. Would not ever recommend by Mssierra13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Overall just a terrible experience, especially for the kids and the drink packages. The alcohol drinks are all basically just juice and the food which is usually pretty good was disgusting, but especially the main dining dinners.

Cruise was great. Dinning room and buffet have gone downhill. by jon75794939

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Did the Chefs table 1st night and was amazing!! Will be looking for this offering on all future cruises. The dining room and Buffet selections have been cut back too far. I often found myself walking away hungry and tired of eating the same thing day after day. Will be researching higher end Cruise Lines for next adventure.

Great Trip…But by spencergronk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Me and my girlfriend had a great time, it was her first cruise and my second. Staff was all super friendly and funny except for the lady’s on deck 11 handing out towels. Would ignore you and roll their eyes at you for trying to get their attention and ended up charging me $50 for towels. The food and entertainment was amazing, if it wasn’t for them girls this trip would’ve been 5 stars across the board.

Poor by galmaffei

I have been previous several cruses. Royal Caribbean is a low quality cruise that is obviously all about money.

I no longer like cruises by jblaiser413

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

Decided to bring myself and 7 others of my family for a Holiday cruise. I though spending a ridiculous15k on a cruise would be a good way to bring us all together. While it did bring us together, it was definitely not worth 15k...or 5 k for that matter. Royal Caribbean Freedom Of The Seas is very basic. I would compare it to floating on a Motel 6. Average continental breakfasts, main dining was gross, the paid dining was average and weird at times. The ship was old, thee entertainment was embarrassing, and the pools sucked. Then comes the Islands it sent us too. 1st island was Nassau, they canceled most of the activities due to wind, which there was very little wind, so the only option waw visit the Atlantis resort. Why would I want to go to a resort? Basically we just went and sat at a pool, pair for expensive resort drinks, and rode a few slides. Needless to say I was not happy. 2nd stop was their own Royal Island called Coco Cay. This was strange because it was just their own resort Island. No town, no shops, no culture...just water slides and a beach. finally we sailed home on the lame boat.....never going on a cruise again.

Wonderful Caribbean vacation for single parent with older teens! by gahalpin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

This was our best vacation ever! I would go on it again next week if I could. Overall the Freedom of the Seas was a very well-maintained ship with plenty to do for a single mom with 2 teenage boys (16 & 18). We felt safe at all times. Food/drinks, activities, and service were absolutely outstanding. Even on rainy days there were plenty of things to keep us occupied. Bring your family photo shoot clothes, there are many opportunities for beautiful, professional shots. Also bring magnetic hooks to increase storage in your stateroom (walls are metal). Would also recommend bringing both US and EU adapters if you have both, our US adapter was too large to plug into the US outlet but thankfully we were able to use the EU adapter/outlet. Also, bring extra cash for tips. The high-energy staff works long hours to keep everyone happy, they definitely earn it. This was one of the best vacations I've ever had!

Lacked entertainment by clintbook052026

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas

The ship needs to do a better job of getting information out to the passengers and find a way to create more activities for people that don’t want to drink all day or play in the pool or sports. The casino was fun and the staff was very inviting
