Review summary

Something made me sick and I was quarantined to my room for the last two days. Only ate at Windjammer before illness started. Nurse said it could be Norovirus which is scary. Not very clean. Excursions and entertainment were great.

Embarkation

Got right on the ship with no waiting. Ate something that made me sick in the Windjammer Cafe. I went to get some Pepto Bismol at one of the shops. They called the nurse and quarantined me to my room for the last two days of my trip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Chops Steak House was amazing. We did not get a chance to eat at the dining room. Windjammer Cafe left much to be desired. Food was cold and undercooked.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The climbing wall and Flowrider were nice features but they were never open when it was convenient for us to use them. Lots of amenities on the ship and things to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were amazing. We saw bands, comedians, an ice skating show and a Broadway show. Amazing talent and choreography. Cruise director was annoying, but that’s what they do.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most of the staff was friendly except for a few exceptions.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Design of the ship was fine. The cleanliness had a lot to be desired, which may be why I got sick. Lots of dust!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Not very clean. There were items left in drawers from previous customers. Lots of dust on TV, mirror and spots on windows.

Ship tip

Wash your hands and be careful of what you eat. Something made me sick and it could be the next ship to have a Norovirus outbreak. Several people I spoke to got sick.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Downtown is great. Stay away from other parts. Zip lining was amazing. TAKE BUG SPRAY! Lots of mosquitoes.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Awesome Island. Did the Buck Island Snorkel and Sail. It rained the whole time, but when we finally got in the water, the snorkeling was amazing! Got to swim with turtles and see a ship wreck!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Low income and dirty Island but the rainforest excursion was great!

St. John's, Antigua

Lots of people begging for money and most shops were jewelry. Did a private island beach getaway. The excursion was nice, but the private island was surrounded by rocks. Cut myself swimming in the ocean. It rained, but was very pretty when it cleared up. Island was small with about 30 people on it.

Castries, St. Lucia

Very pretty. Pitons were great. Did a 6 hour tour and a small hike. It took forever to get to the other side of the island. Lots of winding roads. If you get car sick easy, pick another excursion. It rained most of the trip, but guide was great and entertaining.

Bridgetown, Barbados

Very nice people and great tour. We did the Harrison’s Cave excursion. It was very neat! Had a screaming kid on the trip the whole time, but other than that it was great!

Disembarkation

Took forever to get off the ship. They were so far behind, they basically told the last several groups to just go and get in line. Whole process took three hours.
