Pandemic cruise which did everything in it's power to keep us safe. 100% vaccinated and were tested 2x on cruise. Mask wearing was mandated inside and mostly had compliance. Only had 900 passengers which allowed the staff to pamper guests to a greater degree than normal cruises

We really enjoyed our first cruise with Holland. It met our expectations with maybe the execption of the lack of Broadway shows.

The Panama Canal cruise was very nice. The highlights would be Curacao beaches, Cartagena, seeing the Panama Canal and the specialty dinners.

Good cruise with five sea days on an 11 day itinerary. One comment that doesn't neatly fit under any category is the competency and great attitude of the photo studio staff. They were the best ever. We did not buy any of the "posed" photos. But the staff produced a superb 14 minute condensed video of our passage through the Panama Canal. The result was a lifetime keepsake at a low cost and a wonderful way to remember the cruise. Also, there was no real cruise director; instead we had a cruise coordinator/lecturer (not her actual title). While I missed the usually funny cruise director, this person was an excellent lecturer and her presentations regarding the history and functioning of the canal were great and enhanced our appreciation of what we were about to see and experience. A good cruise with a few areas for improvement.

Thank you for a wonderful cruise start to finish. I can't say enough about Captain Eric, with a great sense of humor, and Valerie Perry who really made this trip special. I would cruise with her every time. I guess my only frustration was the poor wifi access, it really barely worked in my stateroom and not anywhere else on the ship. I thought it was $159 too expensive. I am glad that my friend came along. It was definitely a couples cruise.

It was a great cruise. They could use a few more activities during the day. The Billboard music was fun but not enough seating. Most people had to stand and listen to the piano guys. The main stage entertainment was good. The service and food were exceptional. Ship was clean and organized.

Our cabin stewards were most attentive. Our cabin was very comfortable. Love the large balcony. Enjoyed breakfast out there a couple of times. The food in all the restaurants was wonderful. We had a problem with our dining table assignment, but Holland addressed the issue to our satisfaction. The ladies in the Neptune Lounge were very friendly an helpful. I love cruising Holland America. One big plus for us is the access to daily mass. The only line I know that has a priest on board every cruise.

This was my winter break from grey Midwest, and it succeeded on every level as that. Much of it was so nice and pleasant. Everything I did was fun; it was a great vacation. For service and care as a regular old Eurodam passenger, I could not complain. I didn't like my treatment on Eurodam as an injured passenger: hurt by the actions of a HAL employee in the ship's terminal within 5 minutes of my arrival. Nobody denies this was HAL's doing; an accident, but I was hurt. My ankle was sprained and hugely swollen and bruised. This is the first time I ran into how you are treated if you're hurt. I complained and insisted on some considerations, like gel cold packs and getting a line pass on/off at ports, and getting an xray and medical exam, and was refused ALL of those at first, but got them at last. The Guest Services Director was kind to me, invariably polite, but even he had to be reluctantly pulled in. I actually had to have a member of my care team back home call HAL headquarters and say, "This is NOT acceptable...." before I could get anywhere. You'd think I wanted in-vitro fertilization! Did you ever read your cruise contract? This is the first time I ever did, and it's one cold document. You don't have any rights! However, on every ship there's a hotline to the line's headquarters with an 800 number and a 24-hour number, and you have the right to call those while onboard and say, "They are not treating me right!" I did that, and got somewhere. People showed up in my cabin being sooooo nice. I think I made it clear that I'd be treated like an injured person who they helped or I'd treat them like Smith vs. Holland America. I can see the headlines now...."76 year old widow, alone at sea, hurt, frightened, denied a gel pack........an xray......a line pass.......a medical exam....." Wonderful publicity. Just what you want to have said about you. Two words they stress at HAL and I guess all cruise ships are "safety and security." Well, just say your safety and security are compromised, and speak up when you're in the right, and you'll be a lot safer and more secure. By the way, the ship rode rough for a number of days and there were a lot of falls. You have to know how to ride a rocking floor when you cruise. You have to hold on, keep near the walls, get to your feet and steady yourself before that first step. The older crowd on HAL, many of them with canes or mobility issues, had a hard time with this. You have to cling to stair rails and keep yourself steady. It's your resposibility not to fall onboard and it should be your first care.

Extremely relaxing, loved the many areas of the ship we were able to sit and read, play cards, and enjoy the nice variety of piped in music. The pools were really nice and there was no fight to get a chair. They have no qualms with opening up unoccupied by saved by chair hogs recliners! We didn’t discover the Crow’s Nest on deck 11 until the last two days. We thought it was private for only certain guests in Club Orange ( apparently you pay to join and gets perks like priority seating in the dining room) or suite guests.

We enjoyed the Panama Canal very much and the happy hours at the Crow's nest. Were not able to dock at Costa Rica which was a disappointment but we understood the water was too rough. Staff is wonderful, food delicious and plentiful. Worst part was the live entertainment. I guess HA staff believe that just because we are seniors they don't have to strive for excellence in that department. There was no Food Kitchen entertainment and I'm not sure why. Overall, t was a great restful vacation which we enjoyed because we most enjoy ship time over ports, shopping, sightseeing. I've been on Eurodam twice so knew what to expect. It's an underwhelming ship in good condition. I love HA service, cleanliness and food so I'll be back on HA, just not on this ship.

We enjoyed the cruise and our ports and would cruise with Holland again, the food and service were amazing.

We selected the screws so that we would be at see you during Christmas. The ship was beautiful, the staff was very helpful, and of course the food was outstanding. Holland America is one of my favorite cruise lines.

The cruise was everything expected! That was GOOD. The days at sea were very relaxing. Would recommend Holland America again

Would not sail on Holland line again. We were totally bored for 7 days. We just ate and slept. Couldn’t wait to disembark. LONG week.

The cruise overall was our favorite experience of this year, everything was perfect for our trip and we recommend to anyone wanting a trip to relax!

Absolutely gorgeous, beautiful cruise. Nature alone is the reason to take this cruise. The ship is just where you eat and rest. Holland did an overall great job, except for the rocky start with our room issues. We wish this didn't happen but could've been worse. Really did appreciate the overall itinerary and stops. Highly recommended!

Holland America is a great cruise line for older passengers and those who like smaller, less crowded ships with less wait times. Their service is mostly better than other cruise lines.

This cruise exceeded my expectations. The service was excellent, the food variety was very good. Very calm and quiet cruise with no screaming little kids running all over the place! I would take this cruise again.
