Pandemic cruise which did everything in it's power to keep us safe. 100% vaccinated and were tested 2x on cruise. Mask wearing was mandated inside and mostly had compliance. Only had 900 passengers which allowed the staff to pamper guests to a greater degree than normal cruises
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easier than pre pandemic. Everyone had to be tested for covid. No large crowds and no waiting in lines with large crowds
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food is not as varied as in the past. I'm sure this is because of the financial difficulties facing cruise ships. There were many more crewmembers per passenger than in the past and we were truly pampered. We ate at the Lido most nights due to not wanting to be seated close to other passengers. We ate at the Tamarind one night which was as good as it has been in the past.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Used hot tubs and pools more than in the past. They just weren't as crowded.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Absolutely loved Lincoln Center Stage musicians (small ensemble of strings and piano). We also enjoyed the BB King band which performed mostly old Motown etc
Children's Programs
no children on cruise ship due to 100% vacination rule
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We were pampered the whole cruise
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It was very clean and nicely laid out.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
typical veranda state room. It was located in the very front of the starboard side and when the bow thrusters were being used, it vibrated.
We had a snorkel excursion scheduled but the weather was bad and the ships itinerary change. We arrived one day earlier than scheduled and the excursion was cancelled due to weather and the lack of knowledge that the itinerary changed. This was a cruises.com excursion.
Thanks for the review, we are going to be on the Eurodam transatlantic on October 30th and have never been on this ship so your review was helpful, thank you.
