Review summary

This cruise actually exceeded our expectations, but we were also very lucky to get wonderful weather! Only had occasional showers at two ports, which is unusual for Alaska, but made our verandah a wonderful place to hang out, listen to the water and enjoy Alaska's landscape.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little chaotic, didn't understand where to leave luggage so ended up keeping with us and brought to our room ourselves.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining room was excellent! Lido Market was nearly always too busy and too hard to find seats. Pinnacle Grill had good food but took way to long, two hours, for complete meal especially since our reservation only started at 8 pm.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Can't really say, we didn't participate in any activities.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Actually all staff were wonderful, very attentive and eager to please. It is just difficult to understand many of them due to language accents. However, none ever minded repeating themselves and remained very patient when asked as many times as it took to finally understand. The worst was trying to order room service over the phone. I have some hearing loss and without being able to see the person talking, the accent made it that much more difficult to know what he was saying.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Common areas were kept very clean, however, many areas are showing signs of aging.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For a ship, the cabin utilized space very well. Didn't always have enough flat space, such as tables/desk area for items we wanted to put down, however, there was more closet space than we needed even after putting all our clothes, etc. away in them along with our suitcases.

Ship tip

If possible, get an aft verandah! It was absolutely the best part of the trip. Also, this ship is more for us senior cruisers!!

Disembarkation

Chose to use the independent disembarkation where we kept all luggage with us, so we could choose time to desembark in morning.
