Review summary

I spent over $10,000 on this cruise, and we were not disappointed. 2 words. FIRST CLASS. The crew of this ship was awesome and were so proud to serve the customers. They made it all worth it. From the Room Stewards, to the dining crews, to the Spa Staff, the bartenders, the cleaning crews, the engineering department, the Captain and his Navigation Team, to the performers, and finally Vince, the Travel Director. They treated us like we were important and were somebody that was on vacation. They were so courteous and professional. Worth every penny and we will be back next year. The ship was so clean and so well maintained, that it felt like being at a 5 star hotel for a full week. Better than any hotel I have ever visited.

Seattle is a disgusting dirty filthy city that has no police presence, and has homeless, drug addicts, and mentally ill individual roaming the downtown streets everywhere. We saw many homeless drug addicts just urinating in the streets and alleys. It's unsafe, dark, way too expensive, and we hated everything about it. We did not feel welcome there. I will always look for cruises that do not port there. It was disgusting and unsafe.

Loved it. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Cruise Glacier Bay

This day was awesome. The Captain put the ship in perfect places to observe all the glaciers and actually hear them cracking and moving. It was something I will remember the rest of my life. The land up there is a different world. So beautiful. Whales, Bald Eagles, Seat Otters, Sea Lions, thousand of birds, and we also saw some Mountain Goats.

Had a blast here. Beautiful and so well maintained. A paradise, and the people were so nice. But we wish we could have stayed here longer also.

Ketchikan, Alaska

GREAT PORT VISIT. Caught the Lumberjack show here. It was awesome. But wish we had more time to explore and visit this port. LOVED IT.

Victoria, British Columbia

Di not even go out in town as we we told we had to spend 15 bucks per person to get on a 1 mile bus ride into town. Felt like we were taken advantage of, so 15 minutes after we walked off the ship, we went back onboard the ship and had a nice pizza and a glass of wine. Would prefer to not really go here, but I understand we have to stop in 1 NON US Port because of the Jones Act, so it's the LAW. I would spend minimum amount of time in Victoria and more time in Alaska.

You spent over $10,000 on a cruise, but you wouldn’t spend $15 on a bus ride?

@hummerdude, I’m so sorry you didn’t enjoy Seattle. It’s a interesting city with much to offer as a gateway port for Alaska, given its unique position facilitating the Klondike Gold Rush, the development of Alaska’s cities and the Alaska oil pipeline. There there are the historic contributions of the timber industry, shipbuilding and aerospace innovation that helped this nation through WWI, WWII, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Nam war and all the subsequent conflicts. Then there is the Seattle contribution to the technology boom that allows ships to use GPS guidance systems and the rest of us to post on the internet. That said, Seattle is suffering from the same ills that plague many large cities where the rich are getting rich, the poor are in misery and the middle class is disappearing as they are priced out of the housing market. I’m happy for you that you can live a life well-insulated from the gritty reality faced by so many. And no, I’m not a resident of Seattle.
