A great experience to enjoy together, including a birthday celebration. Royal Caribbean does it right! This is our 3rd cruise to Nassau in 3 years, and we anticipate returning next year :-)

RCL knows how to treat people.Happy

Real Disappointment by tybell1991

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The service in the dining room was terrible. It took over an hour just to get and eat our main course. The room service forgot half our order twice. Our shore excursion left an hour late and they didn't stop at cococay which apparently happens half the time. I'll never cruise with royal again.

Just Okay by pamkriegcptest

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my second cruise and my first on Royal Caribbean.  My husband and I had a balcony stateroom on deck 7.  The cabin was roomy and had plenty of storage.  The bathroom was small but functional for our 3 night cruise.  The buffet food became redundant quickly but the dinners were nice.  We had the 5:45 seating which was perfect for us.  We dined with two other couples who were very nice and we enjoyed their company.  The evening shows in the Orpheum theatre were mediocre at best.  Nassau is looking quite run down and we didn't get to stop at our second port which was Cocoa Cay because they wouldn't risk tendering anyone over due to probable rough seas later that day.  Disappointing to say the least.  Casino is very small but so is the ship compared to other ships.  Elevators are slow.  We walked most of the time.  The smell of cigarette smoke from the casino was a bit much and I'm a smoker.  I think I'll try a different cruise line next time.  Nothing really bad to say but we certainly didn't have a "WOW" factor on this cruise.

December Sailing by towbar53

RCCL has cut back on the wait staff in the lounge areas. They want you to buy a beverage package, because now it pays since they have raised their prices. Then you need to be your own waiter at a backed up bar. Not like it use to be.

Staff in the restaurant was excellent and the food was very good. Top deck eatery needs to flow better. Usually a mob scene. Diamond Club lounge staff and amenities were excellent.

Entertainment very good as well as embark debark. Cabins starting to show their age.

Your crew is the reason why we continue to come back, great customer service! by michaelle8885

Our room attendant, Inyoman, was an absolute joy to have.  Along with keeping our room clean and comfortable, every time we walked past him he would always greet us and smile and it's so nice to know that you employ people like that because he truly is the face of your line and he represents your company very well.  Our server at Chops, Ivan, was also fantastic and was absolutely friendly and hospitable.  He was very attentive and patient with us.  Shanisa and Ying were amazing as well.  They both worked well together and attended to whatever we needed.  Perfect customer service from everyone mentioned.  We love Royal Caribbean because the crew is always fun, smiling, hospitable, and helpful.  These guys always had on a smile and wanted to help us in any way.  It's workers like these that make us want to continue going back to Royal Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean was amazing! by shelb70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our first cruise, and I did my research before booking as to which cruise line my friends felt was best.  Royal Caribbean was recommended by many so we booked through them.  We were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of this cruise from food, entertainment, friendly staff, and room cleanliness.  We loved it so much we booked another cruise for 2017!

Even though there were a few things that didn't match our expectations, there certainly were things that surpassed them. We really enjoyed this cruise overall.

Best Cruise Ever by Mickey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We take a cruse or two every year.  This month we took a four night cruise on Royal Caribbean‘s Enchantment of the sea. We had a great time, the shows were great and the food great. However, the service was much better than we expected. Three people in the dining Room were FANTASTIC, our assistant server Rachel, our server Gerardo and our mater-d  Kaya, went out of their way to make sure everyone’s  food and service was top notch. The fourth person was at breakfast every morning, Her name was Qi Guan, she made us feel like Royalty. Over all this was the best cruise we have been on. The sea was too rough to go to Coco Cay when we stopped on the way down, than on the way home the captain surprised us and gave us a day at the beach.  WOW!!!!

Awful first time cruise. Late to Bahamas and didn't even get to see cococay. Dinner was a disappointment also. Will not travel again for these rates. Felt I was robbed.

Better than we thought.... by shonebone70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

(Actually 3.5 is our rating). Had not cruised in a few years. Winds were high so ship was rocking back and forth the first night.  Fell ill because of it and couldn't come out of my room for hours. Otherwise---was quite surprised how well entertained we were which was pretty much the whole entire time. Didn't really feel the need to get off the ship. Due to bad weather, wasn't able to port on Cococay (no biggie for us).  The shows were very good; onboard shops were decent.  Dining room food was delicious and host were awesome!!  Poolside party a lot of fun.  Temperature in Boleros was way too cold everyday!

Problems with the cruise by christineleigh4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were in Cabin 8489 and the noise from music in the Centrum until 12 at night was not acceptable.

The My time dinning was a disaster with people waiting for seats and staff rushing around. The waiters had NO time to get to know the passengers that they were looking after.

Much better with 2 seating time meals.

Awesome crew, outdated smaller ship by melissalovestocruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

First let me say that RC cruise line is by far the best value.  The crew was fabulous, always cheerful and accommodating.  The ship is very small, no slides at the pool, the dance floor is on the very top and the only access to it is using the stairway. Most people in a bar will be drinking and dancing, stairs and intoxicated people do not go together. There is no smoking in the bar and they do not allow you to step out on the deck to smoke. Use the stairs.  There is only one bar in the casino, very small on one wall, so much for enjoying time there. The atrium is where most activities are so you generally have to be on each level to see or hear anything. There is no kiosk nor a channel to check your sign and sail charges. The main buffet is located in the front of the ship and you constantly bump into each other trying to get a plate. The bathrooms on deck 9 never seemed to be clean. There is a small shopping area, liquor store and photo area on deck 6. I will definitely throughly check out the next ship before I plan my next cruise. Basically, if you enjoy sitting by the pool and people watching only, you will do fine on this ship.

Excellent service by nbradstreet

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

we went on this cruise for our anniversary.  We found that the service and the crew were outstanding! Far above and beyond normal service standards. We also enjoyed the cruise director, he was very amusing and seemed to love his job.  The activities director had an awesome personality, however the daytime entertainment we found lacking and even the nighttime entertainment was truly only geared for those who like to drink, gamble, and party.  The evening shows were well done and the other live entertainment shows were well done, only they didn't last long enough. The service though and the atmosphere of luxury made the trip worthwhile.

What an amazing vacation!! by VHEbjALdWwCAuppdtNVDjnijP

My overall stay was amazing, starting with our housekeeper IDA (Deck 8), my bartenders BRIAN (Boleros) and PAUL (Oasis), our waiter and assistant JERRY (My Fair Lady, Deck 5) and EDGAR... In addition to Mo and Topi, first time cruising with Royal Carribean and I must say it was quite the experience!!! I will definitely be back and will recommend with the highest stars!!!

our honeymoon by dreamweaverflus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

wonderful staff,  plenty of activities.  We had a lovely honeymoon party provided by  Enchantment of the Seas.  The cake was delicious.  We had champagne and danced.  We weren't registered as honeymooners as we didn't know to do that  before the cruise, but they allowed us in to the party anyway. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to go again.

Coco Cay > Bahamas on EOS by kab87

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Got a little seasick on the first day thanks to choppy waters. Coco Cay was amazing, even better than Nassau really. BBQ on Coco Cay day was fantastic. Bahamas was nice, all of the people are friendly, but there wasn't as much shopping as I would have liked. Just the straw market and some pricey BS jewelry stores. Did snorkeling on our own in Coco Cay and that was awesome. Took a snorkeling excursion to the Rainbow Reef in the Bahamas which was fun and worth the price ($35/person), but the water was so choppy that it was hard to concentrate on/see the fish. Food on boat was pretty good. Chops Grille was excellent, worth the extra $. Dining room food and room service was delicious. Windjammer buffet was "eh" but that's to be expected of large quantity food and it was similar to Vegas style buffets. Would have liked more youthful and family type activities on the boat, most was geared to middle age and older folks, but that's generally who goes on cruises. Trivia and poolside movies were great. Ship is showing some wear and tear with rust on certain parts of the pools and boat.

Real Nice Get Away by krobinson94

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Had an overall good time, The only downer was they lost my bags getting on.  I attended two excellent ParkWest art auctions and acquired a few examples of their art products. I very much enjoyed the main dining room meals in the My Fair Lady Dining Room. The were varied in taste and texture. The wait staff was excellent. My cabin was well attended by a young woman named Mary Jane. The Shore Excursion you arranged for me in Nassau was an excellent trip out to Balmoral Island and a wonderful time with a 9 foot Atlantic Bottle Nosed Dolphin named Ken. There were many opportunities for physical contact and many lessons learned about the animal. Thanks for arranging this for me.
