Review summary

First let me say that RC cruise line is by far the best value.  The crew was fabulous, always cheerful and accommodating.  The ship is very small, no slides at the pool, the dance floor is on the very top and the only access to it is using the stairway. Most people in a bar will be drinking and dancing, stairs and intoxicated people do not go together. There is no smoking in the bar and they do not allow you to step out on the deck to smoke. Use the stairs.  There is only one bar in the casino, very small on one wall, so much for enjoying time there. The atrium is where most activities are so you generally have to be on each level to see or hear anything. There is no kiosk nor a channel to check your sign and sail charges. The main buffet is located in the front of the ship and you constantly bump into each other trying to get a plate. The bathrooms on deck 9 never seemed to be clean. There is a small shopping area, liquor store and photo area on deck 6. I will definitely throughly check out the next ship before I plan my next cruise. Basically, if you enjoy sitting by the pool and people watching only, you will do fine on this ship.

We took a tour with a cab driver Jermaine Francis, he is a native and very knowledgeable of the history of the island. There were 3 of us, all women 48, 54 and 68, we all felt very safe with this man during our tour (4:30 till about 7:30 p.m.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM :)

Yes it is definitely a great idea to thoroughly research the ship before booking. This ship was made in 1997, so it's rather old. Also, none of Royal caribbeans ships have slides, only the newest one which isn't even finished building. This is one of Royal caribbeans smallest, oldest ships. Try Independence or Freedom of the seas. Even Navigator, they all have the surf simulators which look fun!
