wonderful trip, in every aspects by virginiakovari

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Why did we choose this cruise? Because of the itinerary, the size of the ship (not a huge monster ship) and the convenience of getting to Baltimore from our house, without flying. What made our cruise a success? The dedication and hard work of the 800 or so crew members, from 59 countries.

Great Cruise on a very sad ship by tsmcgee1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

I was happy that the cruise was over...hated the new menus, the Diamond Lounge is to far away and accessible by one elevator as the other one was broken 1/2 the time and I got tired of hearing only Latin or Caribbean music.

Very Enjoyable Cruise to the Caribbean by vstruchtemeyer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

We love going out of Baltimore, it is a close drive for us and easy to get to. I would recommend this area to anyone. I have only used RCL but have been happy with the 5 cruises we have taken out of Baltimore. Enchantment is a great ship with a good staff, they visit some good port of calls. We enjoyed all the entertainment that we chose to go too. The Crown and Anchor Lounge is a beautiful place to take a quite moment or longer to read, play a card game and have a drink.

Grand ole ship-great port to leave from by Chuck2527

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

If you want a relaxing vacation, take one of the smaller ships—the enchantment is our favorites. It is old and worn ( but at 73 so am I 😂) Easy to get around and smaller venues. If you want water slides, and shopping malls, go on the larger ships—the big ships are great for family’s and kids.

First Cruise Ever by kynautsu

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Fun little ship, with big adventures. Cruise directors were awesome and will engage with you to give you a memorable experience. Do not stress the small stuff, just breathe the salty air, and you will have a great time.

Unexpected Experience by mikekaren201422

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The Cruise started out fine but on the 7th day I tested positive for Covid and was quarantined for 5 days in my State Room. I blame RC for this because of them discontinuing their pre-cruise testing for Covid after making my final in October 2020 and potential allowing someone with Covid to board the ship. Instead RC opted to a 4 question health questionnaire which I feel anyone could lie on and most likely dd. RC’s laziness by not testing people prior to boarding put me and others in a dangerous environment and ruined a cruise for me that was booked in 2020 and shifted twice because of Covid. RC should immediately reinstate the pre-cruise Covid testing requirements across their entire fleet so all cruisers can have a safe and enjoyable cruise. A final thought. I do commend RC for their accommodating me while in quarantine and for the future cruise credit. Thank You!

Would never sail with Royal Caribbean again by jaksbak33

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our cruise was not all it was meant to be. We sailed out of Baltimore MD on 12/30-1/6 on the Enchantment of the Seas. We will never again sail Royal Caribbean. We were one of the about 25 rooms on deck #2 that didn’t have air conditioning when the cruise started. It exacerbated our 11 yr old twin daughters sea sickness for most of the day on the 31st. The temperature in our room was at least 85 degrees. I had to prop the door open in an attempt to get any relief into the room itself. Mysteriously a room became available when we threatened to leave at the first port under threat of RC providing a flight home. The seasickness ended within 45 minutes in an air conditioned room because we had Dramamine patches, wristbands and ginger chews. We were prepared. We arrived in Orlando to what looked like snowing out the pool deck #9 windows. I’m not sure who decides to scrape paint off of the deck above without some sort of tarp to attempt to catch it. It was all over the deck, deck chairs, towels and probably in the pool itself. A ridiculous decision on the part of management. We then lost water pressure one evening, which then presented brown water running out of our bathroom faucets. It was to the point on our vacation, Christmas gift for the family, that we thought we were being Punked/Candid Camera. The last day of the cruise the entire 4th and 5th floor smelled like a sewer back up. Not at all what we thought we were paying for to sail Royal Caribbean. Today we received an email for a cruise credit due to I’m guessing terrible reviews of the cruise week. What an embarrassment that the credit totaled $298 for a family of 4, our kids did not sail free. That didn’t even cover the fees paid for the terrible WiFi for 4 people. It’s shocking that you would disrespect people with such an absurd “credit”. Our kids are at an age where we planned on traveling more. Rest assured it will not be on Royal Caribbean, nor would we recommend anyone of our friends/family/coworkers to sail RC as well.
