Review summary

Our cruise was not all it was meant to be. We sailed out of Baltimore MD on 12/30-1/6 on the Enchantment of the Seas. We will never again sail Royal Caribbean. We were one of the about 25 rooms on deck #2 that didn’t have air conditioning when the cruise started. It exacerbated our 11 yr old twin daughters sea sickness for most of the day on the 31st. The temperature in our room was at least 85 degrees. I had to prop the door open in an attempt to get any relief into the room itself. Mysteriously a room became available when we threatened to leave at the first port under threat of RC providing a flight home. The seasickness ended within 45 minutes in an air conditioned room because we had Dramamine patches, wristbands and ginger chews. We were prepared. We arrived in Orlando to what looked like snowing out the pool deck #9 windows. I’m not sure who decides to scrape paint off of the deck above without some sort of tarp to attempt to catch it. It was all over the deck, deck chairs, towels and probably in the pool itself. A ridiculous decision on the part of management. We then lost water pressure one evening, which then presented brown water running out of our bathroom faucets. It was to the point on our vacation, Christmas gift for the family, that we thought we were being Punked/Candid Camera. The last day of the cruise the entire 4th and 5th floor smelled like a sewer back up. Not at all what we thought we were paying for to sail Royal Caribbean. Today we received an email for a cruise credit due to I’m guessing terrible reviews of the cruise week. What an embarrassment that the credit totaled $298 for a family of 4, our kids did not sail free. That didn’t even cover the fees paid for the terrible WiFi for 4 people. It’s shocking that you would disrespect people with such an absurd “credit”. Our kids are at an age where we planned on traveling more. Rest assured it will not be on Royal Caribbean, nor would we recommend anyone of our friends/family/coworkers to sail RC as well.

Children's Programs

That is pitiful for an “arcade”. Many family events were scheduled during the early dining time slot. Most families were at the early time slot.

Fantastic!! Made the trip what it was.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The common area on deck3 4 and 5 smelled like a sewer backup by the last day.

Cabin / Stateroom

The air conditioning was broken on day one. No attempt to even fix it until about 25 rooms complained about it.

Ship tip

Don't do it.

The pontoon boat ride was in a residential area. Not at all what the description indicated.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Coco Cay was great. We wished it was for 2 days. The “swim with the pigs” was a money grab photo op.
