Review summary

Good for a short cruise. The ship needs a lot of TLC

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast and easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food always Luke warm in dining room, buffet was better.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Bingo and a comedy show. Late night activities/ entertainment was lacking. Rock climbing was not open enough, no pickle ball. Fitness center was adequate, but much to warm when it is full

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Late night in viking lounge is always the same kind of music and it is very difficult to make requests. When you do they songs are very rarely played. There were not enough late night shows. Centrum was good, but to much going on there and not enough room for everyone. Piano players were good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Daniel and Michael were the best waiters in the dining room for dinner. They went above and beyond to make sure we got what we wanted and were taken care of. Bogus our room steward was very personable and always was around if we needed something. The two bartenders in the schooner bar in the evening were terrible. They never acknowledged us right away and very rarely had the drink we wanted so we had to go to the centrum and get our drinks and come back up for the piano music which was very difficult.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The common areas were clean, but very aged. You could see spots on carpets and furniture, stains on the floor. The layout of the ship is good, but the amount of room for the activities was not adequate, especially in the centrum

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Everything in the cabin was great

Ship tip

Make sure the air works, there is no sewage smell and to get your dining room table fixed right when you get on the ship

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

5 out of 5

Port Canaveral, Florida

3 out of 5
Land locked unless you were on a tour or took an Uber.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

What an amazing job you have done with this island!

Waiters rock. We too found some of the dining room food like warm on the Adventure of the Seas.

We sailed this ship last August. The only way I can describe it is it is the training ship for new staff. It is outdated, the staff were not as good as staff I’ve had on other ships. Even the performers were making fun of the ship saying they are usually on the bigger, newer ships and quite sure why they were sent to this ship. We wouldn’t sail it again.

We rent a car when stopping in Port Canaveral. Cocoa Beach is a great spot, and there are many good restaurants near there.
