Amazing by Nmk10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was mine and my wife's first cruise and it by far exceeded all expectations. It was simply put, phenomenal! The crew was first class, the food was delicious and service was impeccable. We will certainly return. Matter of fact, we are booked on Brilliance of the Seas out of Tampa in November for 5 nights. After cruising on RC it's truly going to be very hard trying any other ship...which is why we won't! You have just made passengers for life!! I would not end this review without mentioning your stellar employees, and they are:

Julius C at the My Fair Lady my time dinning room...wow!! It's as though we have been friends since birth lol. Such a gem!!

Thomas (Tomas) our stateroom attendant....VERY attentive and sooo nice....not a morning or afternoon went by on our way back to our room that he didn't greet us with a warm and great smile!!! Truly the best ever!! Room was always spotless so at the end of a tiring day, it was truly the best to be able to come back to a cool and surgically clean r!

Fen Zhou- a pure sweetheart that was working in Park Cafe as a busser and sometimes salad preparer, she has the most sweetest personality andisorder infectious smile of anyone I came across. Always smiling and bless her, she works so hard it shows in how clean the tables and Cafe area were!!

I'm sure we ran into others that were fabulous but these 3 totally stood out.

One area however that stood out for wrong reasons is.Guest Services. The ladies there had attitudes that were very unprofessional. One was fromy Portugal and the other from Costa Rica. She actually was ok just clueless when needing to respond to guest clues.

This review is wordy I know, but I also work in the service industry for a major hotel chain and one of the largest hotels in the world for that chain, I know amazing service when I see it and to be honest, it is very hard to please us because we are used to providing the finest service because I give it daily. So having came across Fen, Julius and Tomas .... it makes me appreciate the service we all provide daily and it let me feel the way I make my customers feel. I know now why we have so many repeat customers in our hotel and it's also why you now have a repeat customer for life on your ships!

Service is not optional in this industry. Thank you for an amazing time!!! Please work on Guest Service attitudes. Assist them in recognizing the word SERVICE in their titles and bring them back to the basics of hosting.

Thank you for your time!!

Great Cruise by dschwartz000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Checking in was fairly easy. There were a lot of crowds up at the Windjammer upon check in and a bit of confusion, requiring us to to stand as we ate and waited for our room to be ready. Other than that, it really was a great cruise. Smooth water, great weather and a very cordial staff. Our room attendant was amazing as were the waiters in the My Fair Lady dining room. The food was good to very good, nothing great, but nothing bad either. Coffee overall was great too. They were not strict with dress code, plenty of shorts and T-shirts in the dining room, but we dressed up casually each night and felt it was more appropriate.

I think the beauty of this cruise is the size and length of trip. Just enough to feel comfortable, not too big to get lost. Just long enough to relax, but not so long that you felt you were ready for home. The staff was friendly with smiles all around. The room was small, but typical of moderate priced room (2nd floor window view). Wish we had a balcony but none were available at time of booking (last minute). Cocoa Cay was beautiful, relaxing and filled with many fish that came right to your feet in the shallow beach water. It was nice that they served a BBQ buffet right there off the beach allowing guests to spend more time on the island.

We did the Dolphin excursion at the Sandals Island in Nassau, but I will say it was not organized at Senior Frogs at the pick up point. We were left standing in the sun for 45 minutes with no tour guide to get us at the designated meeting spot and time. We ended up missing our ferry and had to catch a later tour, which defeated the purpose of getting there before the other ship based tours came in to beat the crowds. It was still nice, but we felt rushed, not a Royal Caribbean sponsored excursion, so I would not subtract from the rating here. My advice, just get the tour on the boat and you likely will have an easier time with it. The experience was great, shallow water encounter with a Dolphin.

The activities were fun on the boat, the kids camp was nice when the adults wanted a break and there was always something to do.

Check out was a bit confusing as well and I wish I knew more detail on times and where we needed to go (not clear in the daily Compass handout). We ended up waiting unnecessarily in the theater for 30 minutes for them to call our baggage number. Time that could have been spent either eating a more leisurely breakfast  or up on the deck to get some last minute sun. We would still do this cruise again in a heart beat.

Great Time by jmeredith22

We had a great time on this cruise. The boat is dated and needs some upgrades and our room wasn't in the best condition due to age but we didn't spend much time in the room. Staff was excellent and it was a fun time!

Service, Service and more Service by rykram

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Friendly and very helpful staff at all levels of service. Dining in evenings had quality and nice range of options. Ship was clean. Had a problem with A/C not turning off, called engineering and it was fixed promptly. Shows were good and seating was available. The day time buffet was ok. Hard to feed quality and in those numbers and time being limited. The beverages at the buffet area was watered down to colored water. Go to egg stations and have them cook your way.

outstanding staff by berber41

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was a lovely cruise. We have done many many cruises, and sometimes the staff can be short tempered or testy The staff on this ship was cheerful and over the top kind. This is why we picked Royal as our cruise line. Had one too many bad experiences on Carnival, and won't use them anymore. I fully endorse this fun trip!

ALSO, if you get the chance...in the dining room, as for Mary Lou and Karl for your servers...nearly perfect!!! xoxo

It was a nice cruise by Marconica314

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I love Royal Caribbean but this was not my favorite. I  had a good time but wish there were more activities on the boat that was geared for young married couples. Another thing that i wasn't thrilled about was my sheets, blankets, and pillow cases were either dirty or stained when we arrived.

Great feedback from first time Cruiser by madamwolf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I completely enjoyed the Cruise Experience!  The staff are all courteous and helpful.  The Stateroom was clean and refreshing.  I was in awe at the Architecture of the ship.  It was beautiful.  My favorite expedience was the private Island I must confess.  I reserved a Lounger for a more quite relaxing atmosphere. I believe The Enchantment of the Sea had something for everyone.Big Smile

As advertised however food a 3 out of 10 by petergmiller

It was a quick cruise, crowded but we expected that.  Crew was great.   Food for breakfast and lunch was plain and repetitive every day.  Diner was fair at best, quality was cheap.

Great Food, Great Fun by Steeled993

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

i loved the stateroom, the common areas, entertainment, and the food. Everything was top notch. I highly recommend it and would love to go again.

We had dinner mates that cruise on Royal Caribbean 20 times per year. They love it and wouldn't cruise on any other line.

Good experience! by vmbrown20

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Enjoyed the cruise and would go again; the staff was great. Was my first time cruising, so I didn't know about the extra charges, such as $12.95 per stateroom guest added to Bill (for each day) to go toward gratuities ($26 per couple). Seems somewhat excessive when I trip anyway whenever getting an extra service.  Overall great experience.

Enchantment of the Seas has seen it's better days by dmanc6050

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

As Diamond members, we have sailed on both new and older rccl ships. Enchantment of the Seas either needs some major updating or retirement. The food was really bad, and we are not fussy eaters. The Windjammer breakfasts were the worst . The quality of food was horrible. Lunch was just ok , we ate once in the dining room and paid for dinner in Chops Grille for the remainder of the cruise. The was a foul sewer order in many places on the ship both inside and out, which was so offensive we couldn't sit in certain areas of the ship. This wasn't random , it was through out the entire cruise. On a great note, rccl didn't disappoint on entertainment , it was fantastic. Service was excellent as well . I would not recommend this ship, it is old and worn out.

Great value... Loved Coco Cay! by hwt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time and enjoyed substantial savings after taking a Disney cruise the previous year. There was a very good assortment of activities, and crowds were not a problem. The dining and stateroom services were excellent. The Coco Cay island was beautiful! Shopping opportunities onboard and at port were also very good. We would definitely consider taking a Royal Caribbean cruise again.
