Great SURPRISE Getaway by cdionf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time just enjoying one another and resting.  Free from technology to just relax. There are sections on the ship like the solarium which was nice and quiet....a great place to unwind without having kids running through. The weather was wonderful for a great game of volleyball. Senor Frog is always a great spot to get great food and DRINKS.

short trip by loriblankenship

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I would recommend Royal Caribbean, however I felt that the beds were not comfortable, where the two beds are put together forms a hump that makes it uncomfortable to sleep close to your partner.

The bar areas take way too long to be waited on, the bar staff are working as hard as they can however the process for them is impossible to complete in a speedy manner.  The beer and mixed & frozen drinks should be separated, either at each bar or a bar of their own.  The bartenders have to walk back and forth and back and forth then to the cash register to to print ticket and back again to get it signed then back again to put in drawer.  There just has to be a better way.  Also the fact that you cant get more than one beer at a time gets frustrating.

Sweet and sour feeling about Enchantment of the Seas by yitang0304

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Cabin - we booked a Royal Family Suite. It was huge and comfortable, but there is a strong, sour odor in both of the bathrooms. And the main bathroom flooded on the third night.

Food - Chop Grille is not worth the money. $35 per person already and you still have to pay extra for the lobster etc. And the woman at the front desk made us waited outside for 15 minutes even though we already made a reservation.

Entertainment - satisfying. They do not have a huge dance crew though, the perforfance is really good.

Service - the stateroom attendant service exceeded our expectation. He reacted very fast and was very friendly, folded animals with bathroom towels. I gave him extra tips. The waiter in the main dining room also did a good job.

Shore Excursions - They do not provide bags for the towels and everything like Celebrity so prepare yourself with one.

Overall it is a average rating for the Enchantment of the Seas.

Great Staff, Superb Entertainment, Ports of Call mediocre, Alcohol prices way over the top by colleenr26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Although the staff was more than accommodating and the dancing and musical show were of Broadway caliber we were disappointed in the cruise in general.  The ports of call were mediocre at best and the alcohol on the ship was so expensive that we would never recommend this cruise line to anyone--a basic mixed drink was $15 including the added in gratuity and tax. Drink specials close to $13.00. Of course one could by the drink package of $59 or $69 a day, -- Drinking 6 drinks or more a day is not what I call a healthy practice even on vacation.  Main areas of ship are beautiful but cabin areas could use updating.  I have been on several cruise lines and I will certainly pick in different cruise line in the future.

Bahama Cruise by mfogle1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

T guess that entire area is considered the Bahamas but think it should be name CocoCay Island Cruise.  That was where we spent the most time.  Nassau and Key West were short on time considering the time we spent on CocoCay.  If in to water play, then CocoCay was great.  If not, it wasn't worth getting off the ship.  We stayed a couple of hours, just to say we were there, and then back on the ship.  Found it difficult to do any  type of excursion at the ports and then have time to explore around.  Was a learning experience though.

Loved the experience but not where we wanted by pnbryant2015

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We are Loyal Royal customer. And have been on Enchantment many times and always enjoy.

The issue we had was being canceled on the Empress.  We were very disappointed with The way Royal handled the cancellation of our original cruise.  When your vacation has been changed a ship board credit of &100 does not make up for the hassle of making all the hotel, flight and excursion changes.  Nor the disappointment.

OK but not best cruise by monteray8201

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was a nice cruise but did not get much of a chance to relax and the one port we really wanted, Key West, we were late getting into due to a storm but then they did not extend out time there. I know we could have made it up by increasing speed back to Miami.

Fun cruise! by KHKK

Great short vacation! Food was fantastic and our steward, Adrianna was out of this world. I was disappointed when my pub crawl on Key West was canceled, but I found a hop on/hop off trolley tour that took me all over the island and I had a wonderful time.

Even on a short getaway riding an older ship, this was an awesome vacation!  Our family enjoyed the suite accommodations and the food and service were royal, as they always are.

Beautiful & relaxing weekend by pestolovr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was blessed with beautiful weather and the cruise met all my expectations. The staff on board was great. My massage in the spa was 5-star. The entertainment was fun, lots of dancing and the other passengers were ready for a good time. The reason for the 4-star review was due to the food being mediocre and the debarkation process was a bit disorganized and frustrating. The food was fine, some things were good, others were practically inedible... But I wasn't expecting anything more. We ate in the My Fair Lady dining for breakfast and dinner and off the ship for lunch, so we never had a chance to try out the Windjammer buffet. It looked pretty good though. Overall, it was an awesome cruise- just what I needed: three days of relaxation.

High prices, low quality by stefanofsernani

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

Gratuity should be per room, no per person, too expensive for what we received, food is okay, and crew (some of them) should learn how to treat with respect the travellers

Me and my girlfriend went this time and had a freaking blast! We absolutely love being on the ship and doing all the things and going snorkeling and on excursions. Land life is not the way to be after a cruise on Royal Caribbean

Quick Royal getaway by sunfirerv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

As always, Royal Caribbean has exceeded our expectations. Even though it was only a three day cruise, they jammed packed as much fun as they could in a short cruise. Me and my husband decided to do a last minute cruise to celebrate our 27th anniversary. Stateroom attendant was great. After finding out it was or anniversary, he decorated our stateroom. Everything we needed was taken care of. Dining experience was top notch, Main dining room and Windjammers! Thanks again RCCL. See you again in 5 months!

Bahamas Vacation by dstark89

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Starting out on the trip it was handy to pay for transportation with Royal Carribean to the cruise ship from the airport. When we left, we had to use a taxi and our taxi driver was very rude. To make sure you are treated right, go through the cruise line and avoid Miami taxi drivers.

It was exciting seeing the ship and many of the guests looked anxious to get on the ship. When you enter the ship, I loved the live music being played!!!! The closed off spaces that fenced in guests was not okay. But once we got past it the lobby area we could breath a lil.

Absolouty be sure of what drink package you want before you get on the ship. If you drink at all, buy the liqour package...you will eventually buy it on the ship.

The weather was poor : ( it rained a lot and it was windy. We had to take advantage of when it was good weather.

Housekeeping is awesome. They keep the ship very clean and get are very nice (always saying hi.) The ship employees are very professional and are appropriate when they joke.

When we sailed the majority of the ship were adults, but if there were kids they were sitting in the hot tub. I wished staff helped the couples out who wanted to relax together in the hot tub without kids splashing us.

The "My fair lady" dining area had amazing food! The serving staff were so kind and attentive. We were very spoiled with the amount of fine food we ate. Plus, you can order as much food as you want. I had tiger shrimp and was able to get seconds. If you have the liqour package you can drink fine wine and champagne during dinner. Bring formal wear for formal night...

Our excursion was canceled due to bad weather : ( we ended up at breezes resort. They treated us first class there.

One thing that bugged me and my BF was having to get up super early the last day so housekeeping could clean our rooms and to disembark. During this whole trip we weren't able to sleep in due to the ship leaving earlier in the day from port. We wished we could sleep more the last day.

Great short cruise! by kjclatanoff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Fun, fun, fun!  Really enjoyed this short cruise.  Wonderful shore excursions, take the Beauty of the Bahamas bus tour with Mario, he is really terrific and you get to see all of Nassau.  Cococay Island cannot be beat, be sure to get one of the cabanas so you don't get burned by the Caribbean sun.   Of the food,on the ship itself, all was good and with lots of selection, however, why didn't they include just one section for really SPICY food, as the default was non-spicy food.

We would go again in a second.  You will enjoy.
