Not short to want more, not long to be bored by scarpascarpa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This cruise has the exactly length time, not short to want more, not long to be bored. Note: before my comments, please you must acknowledge that this is a 4 night cruise. Short cruise. Not far routes. So, lower your Allure-Oasis-Harmony cruise type expectations. Not everything is Broadway !!!y. Having that said, here I go....Despite many years on the see, The Enchantment ship does not look aged. Inside you still see and feel the RC class touch, cleanness, great service all time, in any corner.

Took this cruise as last vacation drop before school year starts. In addition to commemorate my daughter's 13th b-day. Suggestion 1: if you want a dinner table only to your family make sure to not only request during cruise booking but also calling customer service in advance (1 or 2 months before) to make sure RC has reserved it for your family.

SHOWS: dancers and singers acting 2 nights. Different shows tough. Nothing in special with highs and lows along with it. Magician Levent is incredibly excellent. Totally worth to watch him.

FOOD: excellent good taste sort of plates as always for RC style.

BAHAMAS: did not book any in advance. Took with us our own snorkeling masks/tube, bottles of water and got walking to Cabbage Beach (3mi / 5km distance). In Bahamas as much as we decided to walk, we did not miss the cab or the ferry towards to Paradise Island. Walking over the bridge gives you an excellent picture point of the port and lined up ships. Deeply I would like to go to Atlantis and enjoy the water park. But to be honest, its cost/benefit is not worth at all. Go to Disney's water parks for less $ and more to enjoy. At the Cabbage Beach jet-skis cost $75 for 1/2 hour. Cry and you get by $60. Wait for all the early birds and get the same 30min for $50. You drive. You take your kid. Your kid drives. Fun fun fun. On the way back to the port we walked back to the bridge and took the ferry, $4/person.

Tip: in Nassau you find everywhere the Tortuga Rum Cake. Well, not the best. The best one at the best price is sold at BACARDI shop house (3 blocks left from the port, red corner house at main street to the bridges Paradise islands). Bacardi Rum Cake $ 17. Awesome.

COCO KAY: also, no pre-booked excursions. Bought tough the water-splash pass (1 hour) for my kids meanwhile relaxing under the shadows. Take towels from the ship with you.

KEY WEST: no booked excursions. Did the main tourist tours by walking. to South point, Hemingway house. Do not miss the incredible Key Lime choco stick at Key Lime Pie Company (511 Greene St).

And that was it.......A cruise not short to want more, not long to be bored.

Good Trip by denden4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The cruise was fine.  The food wasn't as good as you might think.  The trip to CoCo Kay was below average. While on CoCo Kay the BBQ was hambergers and hot dogs with cookies and brownies - this was terrible.  The worst food I have had in some time.  The cost of the drinks was very expensive.  The excursion prices changed between the published price and the price charged.  It wasn't the deal I remember cruises to be.

Not so pleasant experience by HafizaMerchant

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Honestly, I have cruised before with the same family members in the past by Carnival Cruise line & enjoyed that cruise better than this one.

The entire food experience was not as good as the one on Carnival Cruise. Carnival had some or the other kind of food serving throughout 24 hours whereas in RCL there wasn't. There was quite some restrictions about food & beverages like tea & coffee served at odd times.

internet and TV are good by ydh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This is our 4th cruise trip. We would like to watch Olympic games on board. Thanks for good internet service and TV program, we watched a lot. Food in My Fair Lady is good, waiters are friendly.  But the food in buffet room is not as good as other cruise ships we took before. The activities on board were not as various and interesting as those in other ships. The night show was dull. The only event made me excited was the international crews gathering at the last night. But the general experience was below the average.

Big Red Reunion!!! by Cruiser12921173

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

One of my favourite parts of the cruise were the onboard shows, the dancers and singers especially! Also enjoyed kareoke and the scavenger hunt on the last evening. The bar staff were phenominal, serving us to the 9's, going above and beyond my expectations. Couldn't do all the activities I wanted to as many activities running at the same time as another so couldn't get to everything I wanted but what I did get to I enjoyed. Would like to see MORE from the theme evenings; 70's night was really fun but could have been carried over into the disco but 80's night was over much to soon in the disco; again I was busy doing another activity so missed it. :-( Overall, the cruise was wonderful, great to see our old haunts (ports) again that we (as old cruise ship staff members) hung out in 20 years ago! and of course wonderful to see old friends and meet new ones due to the reunion!!!

Fun Weekend by skgaines

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The crew was great - Cocoa Cay was a great each and wave runner experience and the night time options were too many to do them all.

If you want a quick fun weekend give this a look.

Excellent Cruise director !! by jganas1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The Cruise director starts the partying!! Friendly and efficient staff.  On board activities all good. Everything was perfect! Except beds toppers old & dip crater in center. Many complained same to me!!!

Suggestion is healthier vegan/ vegetarian choices. More beans dishes. Chickpeas not spicy.  Veggie burgers please.

Great for relaxing by Cruiser54709491

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have been on two larger ships this past year and there was so much activity all day and evening. This ship was a smaller ship that reminded me of the past cruises I have taken. It was RELAXING all day. I enjoyed the ship and very relaxing days at sea.Love

less then expected by tjll

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I can not really say there was a favorite part. We were in our destination ports less then was expected based on the schedule. The overall cleanliness was not what we expected. The entertainment was subpar. We like bingo on cruise but it was one game one night and three games another. Expensive to play. If you like casino game they did have a large casino.

Okay Cruise by efonseca

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My wife and I enjoyed the cruise.  We liked the crew, cabin, shows, activities, and Coco Cay.  Chop Grille provide great food and service (addition cost was worth it). The main dining room was a disappointment.  The steak we both ordered was not worth eating.  We sent it back, which is something I have never done.  The substitute meal was not much better - the chicken was undercooked.  We were so unhappy that we skipped desert - and it was on 25th year anniversary.  We ate for the rest of the cruise at the Windjammer,  which was fine.

Loved my cruise by tamberoni

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Loved mu cruise experience on Royal Caribbean. I traveled with my 15 year old daughter for her surprise birthday present. She LOVED it. They treated her like a princess. Only wish the cabin next to us did not smoke on their balcony. We were not able to enjoy the balcony at all because then smoke blew in our direction. Otherwise we had a great time. we even booked our next cruise while on the cruise at a discounted rate!

not satisfied by bkquist

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The room was dirty. Including the last passenger's pubic hairs. They finally cleaned it on the 3rd day. The windows

We asked to dine alone. The waiter brought us to a table and proceeded to sit a nice little old lady at our table before we sat down. I reminded him that we wanted to dine alone. It was a birthday and adversary. The waiter screams out " THEY DON'T WANT TO SHARE!" and made this little old lady move from our table. How uncomfortable and embarrassing for her.

To their credit they did give us a Lobster diner for us on the last day, but our trip was ruined. We invited guests that we paid for as well (family) we always talked up RC to them, they will probably never cruise with RC again. We were so embarrassed. The ship is old. Rust everywhere. Not a good experience. Nervous
