Review summary

Honestly, I have cruised before with the same family members in the past by Carnival Cruise line & enjoyed that cruise better than this one.

The entire food experience was not as good as the one on Carnival Cruise. Carnival had some or the other kind of food serving throughout 24 hours whereas in RCL there wasn't. There was quite some restrictions about food & beverages like tea & coffee served at odd times.

Food and Dining

Vivek Surve,, our assistant waiter was giving exemplary service, he was very courteous and understood all our food needs & tried his best to fulfill it. Excellent credit to him.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The person who cleaned our rooms was excellent in his work & mannerisms. Some of the wait staff at the coffee stands were not courteous at all, they were down right insulting & denied serving coffee if it was over in the serving area & if we requested to make more.

We found plenty to do on the enchantment, as did my daughter and her friend. (Hubby and I were 48 &49; the girls were 19&20). It was mostly families with adults in their 30's and 40's. We were far from bored. Maybe it depends on the cruise director???

I don't like the really big ships like Oasis. Something in between would probably be good though.

@penny19 try any of the Oasis or Freedom classes on RCCL. I was also board on Enchantment. I was never board on the other ones. I'm in the same age group as you.

We sailed on RCCL Enchantment of the Seas and found the food better than Carnival. But we were very bored. It felt like an older persons cruise and we were 52 & 56. We cruised on Carnival and although the food was no where near as good there was more for us to do like putt putt and the waterslides. I want to try a different RCCL ship to see if there is one we might prefer better.

Just because someone doesn't take the time to add their cruise history into their profile doesn't justify questioning their credibility. I had less than stellar food on the Valor one time. Took the same cruise on the Valor again when I got a last minute deal and food was back to Carnival normals. Maybe you just had a bad experience. I'm trying RC for the 1st time in a couple weeks, will see how food is compared to Carnival.

Wow, only 1 cruise on your past cruise history. Hmmmmm, you have created a profile just to slam RC. You at no point Evey created account to boast about the 'other' cruises you have taken.
