Don’t hesitate to take this cruise for the itinerary. It is amazing.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Stayed in Rome 3 days before getting on ship. Viator cancelled our transfer from Rome to the port, so we went by taxi. Arrived at a perfect time12:30pm. No lines, no waiting. Showed passports, dropped off luggage inside the terminal and walked right onto the ship. Easiest boarding ever. Room was ready so we were able to get settled and then wander the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
MDR was great. Dinners were always perfect.
Windjammer was good, nice selection, but sometimes the food was warm not hot. Salad bar was always good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Used the jacuzzi’s after dinners, met a great group there every night. Used the fitness room a few times. Didn’t use the pools, too crowded (and smaller in size)
Entertainment
Did not go to shows
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff

Waiters in the MDR was great. IT person for internet was amazing, room attendant was okay. Never saw him other than 1st day, but room was always clean. (We are very organized cruisers, so we never leave our room a mess- I’ve peeked into some cruiser rooms when attendants are cleaning and the mess they have in the room is appalling 😳)
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship is easy to navigate and clean. Shows wear, but to be expected for an older ship.

Room was great! Our first ocean view and was surprised how nice it was. Usually get a balcony room, but on this ship they were 3x the cost of our past cruises due to the minimal number of them.
Stayed 3 days in Rome before boarding the ship. Did the Colusseum with Palestine Hill and the Forum., Vatican with Bascillica and Sistine Chapel, Rome by Golfcart, night time photo tour, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, shopping. Rome is amazing! Metro easy to navigate. Highly recommend pre booking of any tour in Rome as the ticket lines are extremely long (trust me, do a skip the line tour…. Totally worth it! )
Taormina was amazing. Shuttle bus up to town, walked around on our own for 3 hours, then shuttled back to port in time for visiting the great clock tower and shopping before getting back on the ship.
Did a selfie tour. I feel like the tour guide took us to ONE selfie spot then left us to explore on our own. Stopped for gelato and sorbet before getting back on the shuttle to take us to the tram to get on the ferry back to the ship.
Did an excursion to Ephesus, Melitis, and Didyma. Was a beautiful area, with lots of ruins. Lunch at the hotel was okay. Carpet presentation was very interesting but aggressive. Enjoyed the Turkish coffee the served. Was able to do some great port shopping!
Beautiful town. Did a walking tour through the city before getting on the bus to continue the tour with our guide. We went to a beach a while away, which was surprising, as it was just an abandoned looking coast. Nobody was around other than us on our bus and the cats. Next went to a farm where you could see and feed goats, donkeys, etc and get some refreshments . Had some wine for $4€
Got back to port and had a beautiful seaside lunch of Gyros and shopping before getting on the ship.
Taxi to Athens hotel and checked in before headed to our tour of the Acropolis. Staying overnight so we walked around Athens and watched the changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Metro super easy to navigate as well.
Disembarking started at 6:45am….. we walked our luggage down to gangway level in the morning. As soon as gangway opened, we were off the ship by 6:50am. Took a taxi to our hotel in Athens
Ahhh..our very first cruise was on the Enchantment of the Seas out of Port Canaveral. Went on her again and met up with the same crew. Paulie the bartender was EXCELLENT. Sure by now he's moved on.
